I watched Wane drive out of the house angrily, I sighed and slumped down on the couch wandering in thought, I know it wasn't going to be easy, especially when I'm married to the almighty Alpha Wane

What was I even thinking? That's going to be easy?

"Ohh…come on Rose don't be too carried away, you gotta work harder to achieve your aims, if you really want this cold man to fall for you, then you have to plan it well" My conscience advised 

My eyes widened in realization, I stood up from the couch immediately, I need to think, and certainly, I can't do that by sitting around here, I need to walk around

I don't know my way around but I was smart enough to follow the exact way I and Wane followed while coming in. 

"Wow…." I marveled in excitement seeing the beautiful view of the surrounding, Wane must have spent so much one here

The waterfall look so peaceful, I walk towards it and use my hand to scoop some water, feeling the coldness of it, I sighted a swimming pool at the corner of the castle, 

I walk towards the swimming pool admiring the beautiful nature of this castle, it's so big yet it's so quiet and lonely, 

I sat on the edge of the pool and deep my bare legs into the water, I use my leg to feel the sweetness and coldness of the water

I'm not giving up on you Wane, not when I've come this far….I promise to do everything to make you fall in love with me, even if it means going out of my comfort zone

A thought came into my head and I smile, today will be our first night together as a married couple, I'm not going to allow this night to go to waste, I'm going to make it so sweet and romantic, for us, especially for Wane

I got up from the pool and wore my slippers before rushing into the house, I need to look for Mrs. Rosewell, she will help me out with everything I needed for this night

"Mrs. Johnson..!!" I scream immediately I came into the living room, I was checking every room that might possibly be the kitchen

"Mrs. Johnson…..!!"

"Yes darling I'm here" 

I turned around to see Mrs. Johnson standing before me, I look around tbs whole place not knowing where she came out from

"You must be wondering where I came out from?"

''Yes…." I nodded my head like a baby

"Well I came out from that direction, its Alpha Wane's private kitchen" She pointed out

"Ohh….he has a private kitchen"

"Yes dear, the Alpha is always careful about all his meals, he always likes his meal prepared separately

"Ohh…okay"

"You need my help with something….?''

"Yeah….sure, ermm tonight will be my first night with my husband and I want it to be so special"

"Alright dear, the Alpha might be a tough one but trust me he has lots of love in his heart"

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Because I know you people are not married because of love, I can see it" 

My shoulder slumped in disappointment

"Do you think the Alpha will ever get to love me?"

She remained silent but then she took my two hands in has and smiled

"I've only seen the Alpha love one woman and that was years ago…."

"What you mean, he has someone he loved"

"Yes…." She muttered nodding her head, I loosened my hand from her's and pulled back

She came forward and hold onto my hand again, 

"You don't have to give up"

"But he loves someone else" 

"Shhhhh……that was long ago"

"What do you mean" 

"She died the night before their wedding day"

"What……!!" I screamed in shock covering my mouth

"That's so sad…." I whispered

"Yes dear, after that incident the Alpha became cold and ruthless, for years I never saw him with a woman but then…he brought you home and introduce you as his wife, I think there's a hope of him loving again" She muttered, hopes were visible in Mrs. Johnson eyes, as she tightened her hold on me

"Please dear, I will help you in any possible way, help me bring back the old cheerful Alpha, the man that's filled with so much love, please bring him back dear" She pleaded, close to tears

"Why do you love him so much, I thought you were just working for him?" I asked, 

She wiped her tears 

"I raised him, Wane's parents were so busy with work, when he was a child. I was the one that raise him, I watch him take his first step as a baby, he loves me so much…he's such a loving child that even though his parents were never there for him, their death nearly broke him as an adult, he was twenty then…I thought he would never bounce back but when he met Sally, he completely forgot about his parents and fell head over heels for Sally, but Sally's death broke and shattered him completely"

"He's like my own son, I love him so much" She cried….

"It's okay Mrs. Johnson" I muttered wiping her tears

"Help him, dear"

"I promise to do my best Mrs. Johnson"

"Thank you so much, so where do I start?" She asks, 

"Mmmm, to the kitchen first" 

"Sure let's go" She took my hand dragging me to the kitchen in excitement 

"Wow….." I exclaimed looking around the kitchen

"You like what you see…?"

"Mmmm…." I nodded giving Mrs. Johnson a thumbs up

"It's a nice kitchen" 

"Sure so where do we start?" 

"Mmm…." I leaned on the counter thinking

"What's his favorite meal?" 

"Chicken soup and rice" Mrs. Johnson answered

I picked up the knife and swing it in the air, I stung it on the chopping board and turn to Mrs Johnson

"Chicken soup it is…" I said in excitement, winking at her and she giggled.

She helped me bring out the ingredients while I prepare the soup, 

Hours later, we're done preparing the soup and rice, 

"Thanks, Mrs. Johnson I appreciate" 

"You're welcome dear," She said to me, 

I set his food on a tray before taking it upstairs 

I went up to our room and set to work immediately, I sprinkle rose flowers at the entrance of our room and draw a heart shape with the rose on our bed, 

Using the mini dining in our room, I set the food on it, brought a bottle of wine, and set it perfectly on the table, I lit a beautiful candle as it shines brightly, and I sprinkled roses on the table, 

I turned the light of the room to red color, which illuminated through the dark

.the whole room looked so cozy, 

I rushed into the bathroom to take my bath since it's late in the evening and Wane might come back anytime soon, 

I was done bathing and was wrapping the towel around my body when I heard the room door click open, my eyes widened as it dawned on me it's Wane

I rushed out of the bathroom I met Wane at the entrance

"You are back?''

"What's all this?" He asks in a cold voice, sending chills down my spine

"Uhhh….I…just……" I couldn't speak

"Fucking speak….!!" He thundered walking slowly

"I..I…..made something romantic for our first night" 

"I thought I told you not to expect a thing from this marriage"

"Yes but trust me it's not what you think"

"Who prepared that meal?" He pointed to the food on the table

"It's me" 

He sighed in annoyance pinching the bridge of his nose, 

"Take that food away…."

"But….but……"

"Take the fucking food away………!!" He screamed, I rushed towards the food and took it rushing out immediately

"Dear, what happened, I heard screams?" Mrs. Johnson asked

"I….I…" I was still talking when Wane came down

"Alpha…." Mrs. Johnson called 

"How could you allow a total stranger to cook my meal" 

"Alpha I thought she's your wife"

"A woman I married out of pity not love" He thundered, 

I couldn't take it anymore, I rushed out of the scene
