Less than a minute later, I felt his arms around me.

“I know you’re stressed about everything. It’s okay to be afraid, but it’s not okay to let it rule you and determine your actions. You can do this, I know you can.”

“And what if I fail?” I asked with a shaky voice.

“Stop thinking like this. You will succeed, there’s no other option, even if your plan seems like a good one. What happens if the creatures attack from everywhere at once? How will your plan to keep them off work?” He asked.

“I… I don’t know. I was just thinking of something, anything to act as an alternative. I think you’re putting too much trust in me.”

“How about this, we can use your plan. It may work as long as the creatures don’t appear all at once. If it doesn’t then you’ll have to put up the barrier, agreed?”

“Yeah, okay. That’s fine.”
