Chapter 8:

Jenny P.O.V

(Seven Years Later)

I had told Max about my past and the pack, that I was a werewolf. He needed to know, especially during my pregnancy when signs revealed I wasn’t human. Max accepted the truth without a word and listened to my entire story, sympathizing with me and the harsh laws imposed to restrain others. He took care of my children and was the perfect father until the moment I returned from work and saw him standing before me.

It was Alpha Dragon. I remember his slap, the pain it caused me, every detail of it as I looked into his eyes. I don’t know how he found me, but his expression was filled with words.

"Your father is dying, Jenny!"

He threw these words at me, confident that he could make me crumble. I still remember my father and long for the pack; it was my world. I almost took a step forward, trying to understand what had happened, but then I saw Max’s questioning eyes.

Dragon advanced, his eyes angry upon seeing Max approaching me. He said, glaring at Max, "You must return, Jenny. Alpha Anderson is waiting for you."

Max stepped in front of me, facing Dragon directly, and said, "She will not go with you alone. I am coming too."

"Humans are not allowed inside!" Dragon challenged.

I took a deep breath and calmed down a bit before finally speaking. I wasn’t afraid of Dragon anymore, but I was worried about him knowing about my children and that they were his. I pushed the thought aside and said impatiently, "Max is coming with me, or I won’t go back!"

Dragon did not utter a single word; he left with the wind, dressed in a blue suit matching the color of his eyes. He still exuded strength and had become even more captivating.

Max watched me as I continued to stare at Dragon’s retreating figure, the man responsible for everything that had happened to me. I had never forgotten him because my children still reminded me of his presence.

So I had to return to the pack. I forgot to mention that after discovering my pregnancy, Max helped me become a doctor and attend university. He put in a great effort to make this happen, and I became one of the most competent doctors.

I explained to the children and made them understand well. It was difficult to explain that they might encounter a werewolf and stand before him, but they were smart enough to grasp this. They were also at an age where they would eventually transform.

I returned to the pack with three children, all six years old, with blue eyes, white skin, and black hair. They resembled their father greatly, like miniature versions of him. This filled me with dread about Dragon discovering they were his children. Beside us, Max Holden exuded charisma and a commanding presence.

Everyone was staring at us. We looked like a happy family, dressed elegantly. I had changed a lot from before, becoming stronger, more beautiful, and more attractive. I wore fiery red lipstick, a short dress, and my hair was styled in a ponytail.

Max, who was beside me, said, "It’s good to be home again, isn’t it, Jenny?"

I responded with a hint of humor, "Not good at all. I have a task to complete and then I’ll return. Kids, don’t stray too far from your father."

I continued with sarcasm: "I don’t know, Max, but there’s nothing left in this place that would make me return except for treating my father. And perhaps giving some stray dogs a harsh lesson."

I looked at my three children—Jacari, Jackson, and Jerry. They were all very intelligent and had abilities beyond their years, so I made sure to keep them hidden and away from people. They all knew that Max had raised them, not their biological father, and that was a secret between us.

We didn’t head to the Golden Sun Pack but were received at Dragon’s palace. I didn’t know what he was planning, but it seemed like something significant in the end.

I pleaded with Max, "You can take the kids with you, Max, please. I need to go somewhere."

I had to go to my pack, see Alpha Anderson. I missed him terribly, almost to the point of death, but did he still hate me?

Jacari spoke up, "Mom, we’re not kids anymore!"

Jackson added angrily, "Yes, Mom, we’re grown up. Please treat us like adults!"

Jerry threatened, "Stop it. Mom has warned you before."

I said in a warning tone, "Don’t cause trouble and be polite. Now go with your father."

Over the years, things had changed considerably. The streets were more modern, and cars had become widespread, allowing us to drive without objections.

As I was heading to my pack, a car suddenly blocked my way. I got out of my car, removing my sunglasses, and looked at the man standing before me with disdain. It was none other than Dragon.

I said with sarcasm and arrogance, "I think you should get a driver’s license!"

He laughed loudly as he looked at me. There was something about me that attracted him—my eyes, my voice, I was unique and beautiful.

He replied with arrogance, "This whole place belongs to me. I make the rules, and everyone is under Dragon’s control, Jenny."

I approached him slowly, with the same arrogance, and said, "Aren’t you embarrassed to be such a vulgar Alpha Dragon? This time hasn’t changed you at all."

I moved away from him, then turned and winked, "You shouldn’t go out without your driver, Dragon."

I left with a smile. He was vulgar and cold, almost like Jackson with his false arrogance.

As for Dragon, he remained where he was, looking at me. He didn’t know whether to be angry or smile, but he found himself smiling. Meanwhile, his phone rang several times. It was Olivia, who had learned of Jenny’s family coming to her palace.

He answered the phone, running a nervous hand through his hair, "Yes, Olivia!"

Olivia spoke with a pained and feigned tone, "Where are you? Why are you treating me like this? I might die without you, Dragon!"

Dragon asked with boredom, "What’s happening now, Olivia?"

Olivia explained with a pitiful tone, "What’s wrong with you, Dragon? You’ve been gone for over three months. Don’t torture me like this, please!"

He replied with a voice barely containing his frustration, "I’ll be back today. We’ll have dinner together and discuss what you want, Olivia."

Olivia asked, "You know I’m Luna of the pack, and I should be involved in your decisions, especially if it affects my position. I’ll wait for your return and expect an explanation on why you brought Jenny and her family, and why you’re hosting a human in my palace."

"I’ll return."

Dragon cursed the day he left Jenny and stayed with Olivia. He had gotten himself entangled with such a vulgar character.
