Chapter 3:

Dragon’s P.O.V

I woke up, vividly recalling last night, and jolted out of bed. It must have been a joke; I shouldn’t have gotten close to someone I didn’t know. I remembered last night, but I was drunk—I shouldn’t have drunk so much.

Olivia had booked my room; she would soon be my wife and the Luna of the pack. I put my hand on my face and hurried to get dressed. I needed to find out who that girl was and why she had disappeared before I could see her. Most importantly, I had to be fully dressed, as Olivia would surely be arriving soon.

I shouted in frustration, trying to recall the girl’s face with angry eyes. I remembered her in my arms... I smiled again at the memories of that night.

With passion, I exclaimed, "She couldn’t have been far... I need to search for her."

I looked around, but she was nowhere to be found. It was as if she didn’t want me to know her; perhaps I should just forget about it and erase that night from my memory.

I waited in the hotel room, sitting in a chair, resting my head back while holding a cigarette in my right hand. I watched its smoke drift into the air and stared at the bed, recalling yesterday’s details, the girl, and the thought that she was a virgin, drunkenly clinging to me. Perhaps she hadn’t wanted to get close to me... Did she know me?

Questions swirled in my mind as the clock ticked slowly. I wondered what would happen next. But as I was lost in my thoughts, Olivia burst into my room...

(Olivia, a tall, fair woman with curly brown hair and brown eyes)

“Good morning, darling!” Olivia greeted with a smile and cheer.

“Good morning,” I responded, returning the greeting with a forced smile.

“You look worried! Are you upset that I didn’t come to you last night?” Olivia asked as she sat beside me on the adjacent chair. She continued, justifying her absence, “Dear Dragon, I was really busy and had to finish everything related to our wedding. Preparing for it is exhausting.”

"My anxiety and anger were clearly visible. I didn’t seem well, and I couldn’t explain what had happened to Olivia. Should I tell her that I had betrayed her before our wedding? But I ignored all that and said, 'I’m a bit upset, but I’ve missed you.'

I embraced her, and as soon as I did, I remembered the previous night and how enchanting and excessively soft it had been. In fact, that girl smelled of strawberries and honey.

I exclaimed in frustration, 'Damn it! Damn it!'

Olivia, frightened and alarmed, stood up and asked, 'What’s happening to you, Alpha Dragon?'

I quickly justified my situation as I hugged her again, 'I lost my watch. I don’t know where I lost it. You know how precious it is.'

'How did this happen?' she asked, trying to understand.

I replied while pacing the room and trying to keep my eyes away from hers, 'I don’t know, Olivia. I need to find it no matter what. It’s worth it.'

Olivia tried to calm me and said, 'I’m leaving now, and you should follow me. My father will be waiting for you. Today will be auspicious for Jenny. She will get her wolf tonight.'

I smiled and bade her farewell. I, Alpha Dragon, appeared nervous and anxious, unsure how this happened. All I could think about was finding that girl, no matter the cost. I headed to take a shower while trying to remember anything about her, anything to locate her.

As I closed my eyes under the water, my wolf Leo connected with me, saying, 'Mate!'

I wasn’t very surprised; my happiness with her and that bond meant she was definitely my mate. But what now? Had I found my mate after years of searching, only to have her disappear in the morning? I, Alpha Dragon, needed my mate with me, even if she wasn’t Luna!

I called Leo, asking, 'Who is our mate, Leo?'

'I don’t know her name, but I can smell her wolf, Aurora, and find her!' Leo answered.

I sighed slowly and asked again, 'I’ll get dressed. Can you scent her?'

'You marked her with your wolf's mark,' Leo replied, making me wonder how.

'When?' I asked.

'Yesterday, when you were kissing her, you marked her neck!' Leo answered.

Perhaps it was a bit easier now. I had to find my mate, and I would find her whether she accepted or rejected me.

I put on my blue suit, matching my blue eyes, combed my hair, and headed directly towards the pack, searching for her. The scent of strawberries I could smell led me straight to her.

No matter how strong and tough I was, the bond with a mate made me a bit weak, yielding to Leo’s control. All that mattered to him was finding his wolf. He was excited; I could feel it in my head, but I was a bit anxious because I had chosen a Luna for the pack, and the idea of her being my mate seemed impossible. I don’t back down from my decisions, especially one that benefits the pack.

I could smell the scent coming from the forest, especially from the site of the transition ceremony in the clearing. Then I remembered that today I should be there. My Luna’s sister would get her wolf and mate today, and that’s why I came...

Perhaps my mate came today to be part of Olivia’s sister’s transition ceremony. That’s good; I’ll find her easily, but I mustn’t make a fuss as everyone would be there, especially Alpha Anderson and his daughter Olivia.

I reached the clearing, and I could smell the scent clearly. The scent grew stronger. I was a few steps away from everyone, behind a tree. As soon as my eyes fell on her, Leo shouted, 'Mate.'

I can say that this was the worst coincidence that could have happened to me. My mate was Olivia’s sister!

I, Alpha Dragon from the Blue Moon pack, had searched for my mate for years. When I despaired, I decided to bring a Luna to the pack. It happened after I agreed with the Alpha of the Golden Sun pack to make his eldest daughter the pack Luna after his daughter also despaired of finding her mate. But when I visited her pack, I discovered that my mate was her younger sister!"
