~50 CONFRONTING THE INNER DEMONS

I found myself, running through a dark, twisted forest. The gnarled trees seemed to close in around me, their twisted spiny branches reaching out like skeletal fingers. I could hear the sounds of rustling leaves and snapping twigs all around me, and I knew that something was chasing me- something monstrous and otherworldly. Something deadly.

As I ran, my heart pounded in my chest and my breath came in short, ragged gasps. I could feel the sweat dripping down my face and the ache in my legs as I stumbled and fell repeatedly on the harsh, unforgiving ground.

But no matter how far I ran, I couldn't escape the sounds of pursuit. I heard the pounding of footsteps behind me and the snarling of something feral and hungry. I turned towards the direction, and that's when I saw them - a pack of wolves, their eyes glowing brightly in the darkness as they circled around me.
