My heart was pounding with rage as I listened to the voice on the other end of the line. I gripped the phone tightly, my knuckles turning white. How dare this man call from Eden's phone! He had no right to invade her privacy like this.

I answered the call, "What do you want and why are you calling from Eden's phone?" I asked, my voice dripping with anger.

The man chuckled, taunting me. "I should be asking you, alpha. What are you doing with the daughter of a hunter?" he said, his voice dripping with disdain.

The revelation of what he just said hit me like a ton of bricks. I had heard it from my mother and the things I have seen Eden do made me want to believe, but I didn't want to believe it, but the words from Eden's father made it impossible to ignore.
