As I walked deeper into the forest, the soft crunching of leaves beneath my feet echoed through the trees. The memory of Dorian's bloody figure appeared in my mind, making her shiver. I remember it like it was yesterday, when in fact it's been three days but the image was still vivid in my head. I could almost feel his frantic hands on her, his panicked apologies as he explained to me what had happened.
