I lay in my bed, staring up at the ceiling as the sunlight poured in through my window. It had been a week since my family had locked me in my room, and I was starting to feel like a prisoner in my own home. The incident with the wolf had changed everything.

At first, I was grateful for my family's concern. They had hovered over me, checking on me constantly and making sure I had everything I needed. But as the days dragged on, the confinement became unbearable. My room, once a sanctuary, now felt like a cage.

The world I had just learnt about was thrilling to me, even though I almost got killed a week ago, by luck I survived. I remembered seeing something surprising, before I got home, all my open injuries I had were all closed up and I was left gaping in amazement. I didn't know who to tell and even if I had, I had no idea how to explain something like that. The only person I could tell was Dorian who had been MIA since a week ago.
