CHAPTER 57

EDEN POV

My heart pounds as both I and Jason walked out of the pack house to discuss by ourselves. I turned to see if he was fast behind me but Instead, I bumped into him, I stumbled back but he reached out and grabbed me by the arm before I could fall.

I could feel the flutter in my heart but adjusted myself quickly trying to withdraw any attraction I was feeling.

As Jason's touch sent a jolt through my body, I couldn't deny the rush of emotions that surged within me. It was a dangerous game to let my guard down,

I composed myself, pulling away gently from his grasp and maintaining a neutral expression. "Thank you for catching me," I said, my voice steady despite the chaos inside me. "We should find a quiet place to talk."

Jason nodded, his stormy gray eyes searching mine for any sign of vulnerability. He knew, just as well as I did, that our proximity was dangerous. But the bond between us seemed to pull us together, like magnets defying the laws of nature.
