CHAPTER 64

ELIZABETH POV

Startled, we pulled apart and turned towards the direction of the scream. Concern etched across our faces, we exchanged a quick glance before rushing towards the source of the sound.

As we hurried towards the source of the scream, our footsteps echoing through the forest, worry gripped my heart. I couldn't help but fear for the safety of our pack members. The scream seemed to grow louder as we approached a small clearing deeper in the woods.

As we burst into the clearing, our eyes widened in shock at the scene before us. Several members of the unrecognized rogue wolf were gathered around, their faces filled with anger. In the center, lying on the ground, was Emily, one of our packmates, clutching her injured leg and crying out in pain.

Without hesitation, Dickson and I rushed to Emily's side. I knelt down beside her, my voice filled with concern. "Emily, what happened? Are you alright?" I asked, staring at the rogues in anger while they brought out their weapons.
