CHAPTER 64

ELIZABETH POV

My heart was pounding in my chest nonstop as both I and Dickson walked inside the pack house. I had gone to get us each a cup of coffee and before I got it to him, I was fully startled when I bumped my head into his hardened chest.

Looking up, I found myself gazing into Dickson's deep brown eyes, and a rush of warmth spread through me.

His presence recently always had a way of making me feel safe and protected. "Oh, sorry about that," I stammered, blushing slightly.

Dickson chuckled, his voice resonating deep within me. "No problem, Lizzy. I should have watched where I was going." His smile was gentle, his gaze lingering on me for a moment longer than necessary.

I handed him his cup of coffee, our fingers brushing against each other, sending a tingling sensation through my body. "Here you go," I said, my voice slightly breathless.

"Thank you," he replied, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down my spine.

There was a short silence of us just staring into each other
