CHAPTER 25

EDEN POV

It's been an hour since I laid under the soft blanket but I couldn't sleep because my thoughts kept wandering back to what had transpired an hour ago.

Scott had specifically told everyone to have a nice rest because tomorrow we were setting out a little early.

I sat up a little to notice that everywhere had gone dark and the only noise was that from the insect. The sky glittered with so many stars.

My eyes glared around to see how everyone was faring. They all seemed to be deeply asleep but apart from me, my attention instantly stopped when they landed on everyone but not Scott.

I almost screamed when a hand I hadn't noticed slightly touched me, I looked beside me to notice Scott who seemed to be sleeping peacefully.

He seemed comfortable while he slept and I, on the other hand, was miserable. I kept looking at his face a few times wondering why he was sleeping next to me, instead of with the rest of the group.

The thought nagged at me, and curiosity got the better of me.
