Chapter Five: Why are you trying to make her hate him?

"No it wasn't them" he said and i quickly stare up at him. I witnessed it, I am sure it was the witches. What does he mean that it was not the witches, if not them then who

....

"If the witches didn't kill my parents, then who killed them?" I ask but he kept quiet. Why is he not replying, I don't like the silent at all... am curious right now

"Yes, you saw the witches kill your parents but they didn't do it in their free will... the lycans forced them to do it" he replied after some minutes silent

Lycan? who are lycan?

Oh! I've heard mama told me story about them. They are brutal, dangerous and feared by many but why should they kill my parents

"Do you believe me?" he ask and I glance at him

"How do you know that they were the one?' I ask but that's not the only question I have for him .... How come he knows my parents and who killed them, does that mean he knew who I am and that was why he saved me but I wonder what relationship my family could have with the vampires

"Have you wondered why I saved you?"

"I wanted to ask you about it" I replied. He was silent for some seconds before speaking up

"Your father did something for the vampires but he offended the lycans. The lycans and the witches had a misunderstanding and in other to be on the lycans safer side because they don't want war

The witches ask them to mention anything and they will do it for them. That is how the lycans used the witches to kill your parents because your father offended them and they don't forgive easily

Because of the good deed your father did for the vampires, I decided to save him but it was too late cos he and your mother was already dead but I looked for you when I realized you are still alive

So that is how it all happened, the lycans killed your parents and I saved you because of your father" he stated

I never knew that my parents knows about all these creatures cos before I met the vampires, I believed they were all fiction

Why didn't my parents tell me about any of them being in existence. How can they keep such thing for me

The witches and the lycans killed my parents but it wasn't actually the witches fault and I was busy blaming them not knowing that it was those brutal lycans

How could they do that to my parents, I wonder what my parents did to them that warrant the lycans to kill them but no matter what it is, they don't have the right to kill my parents. I won't forgive them for that

"Alexis" master Douglas calls softly and I stare at him

"Promise me you won't go to the forest again, it is for your own safety. Those lycans and witches are still looking for you. They want you dead because the lycans wants to wipe away your family including you

Prior to what your father did for the vampires, I want to protect you and you will help me by staying safe here and don't go to the forest cos it is dangerous there"

"I promise not to go to the forest again" I assured. If I stay here without stepping foot out of this clan, I will be safe

I don't want to die yet because I want those that killed my parents to pay so I will have to listen to master Douglas

"Good" he cuts in

"Take some rest now, if you are hungry you can inform Erin" he add before walking out

He is really a good man, both him and Erin. They have done so much for me and I really appreciates it

The knock came once and Douglas voice ushers the person in. The door creak open and Erin walks in

She can't explain what she is feeling now, she is feeling sad, jealous and angry

"Erin is there a problem?" Douglas ask as he walks to his king size chair and sits

"You lied to her master, I never thought you will do something like that" Erin wasn't able to hide her anger though it was not that noticeable

"That's the only way to keep her" Douglas simply replied

"Her parents were killed by the witch because they want her, the lycans have nothing to do with it"

"Didn't you heard what I said Erin, that's the only way to keep her. Do you think I enjoyed lying to her?" Douglas snap

"He is her mate, why are you trying to make her hate him?"

"He doesn't deserves her, she has to be with us because we need her and you know that"

"Are you trying to make her hate her mate because we need her for our plan or you have another reason" Erin blurts out not knowing she was raising her voice. Douglas glared at her, Erin has the right to talk to him this way and he will forgive her easily because they have been a long way together

"This conversation is over Erin, now leave my room" his voice is cold. Erin knew immediately that she has crossed her limit but she can't control her anger

She knows that Douglas lied to Alexis to make her hate her mate because he wants to make her his, it looks like he has a feeling for Alexis and that hurts her. She has been by his side for years, but he choose to love a little girl he knew three years ago. Douglas has known Alexis even before her parents death.

Literally all creatures knows who Alexis is but some haven't seen her and Douglas saw her three years ago, some will identify her once they sees her because of what she is. She has been in the history even before she was born, everyone is waiting for her, some wants her dead while others wants to use her for their selfish gain

Why didn't Douglas fall for her, isn't she beautiful enough...why that little girl who is barely sixteen. She is trying to hold back the pain, she doesn't want her heart to get bitter for Alexis because she loves her and doesn't want to hate her for anything but Douglas is pushing her beyond her limit

"Am sorry master" she mumble trying to hide the pains, she bow slightly before walking out

She close the door behind her and lean on it letting down those tears. She don't want to hate Alexis at all, she hopes this situation will not make her to hate Alexis... she has learn to love her so much and wouldn't want to hurt her

She wipe her tears after feeling satisfied from crying. She walks back to the kitchen to take the food she dropped there

Actually she was on her way to give Alexis food when she heard their conversation, she didn't want to eavesdrop but couldn't help but being curious at what they are discussing

She got angry listening to Douglas lies to Alexis. She knows the reason why he is doing that and that made her more angry

When Douglas was about leaving Alexis room, she noticed it and left from her door to the kitchen to drop the food so that she will be able to talk with Douglas cos she couldn't hold her self

She carries the food from the kitchen to Alexis room but that was after crying and made sure she wiped her tears and wash her face so that Alexis won't notice she had cried

She twist the door knob open and walk in. Alexis is lying on the bed. She gently walk closer to her and drop the food on the wooded table while she sits on the chair

She took a deep breathe and put on a forced smile on her lips

"Alexis wake up, your food is here" she said and gently tap her to wake her up. Alexis slowly open her eyes, she is fast in waking up because she hasn't sleep deep before Erin enters the room

"Erin" she beam and sit up from the bed. She was thinking about what Douglas said when sleep took over her without her consent

"I brought your food... I believe you are hungry" Erin said still putting on the forced smile

"Yeah, am so hungry, thank you so much Erin" Alexis cuts in with all smiles. Erin is definitely spoiling her, she doesn't do anything herself even to cook or serve her own food

"Hmmm, is so delicious Erin, I love it" Alexis mumble with food in her mouth

"I know you will like it, eat up okay"

"Erin, master Douglas told me that the witch wasn't the exact people that killed my parents, it was the lycans cos they used the witch to achieve that" Alexis said after drinking a water to gulp down the foods she ate before she can continue eating

"I won't forgive them Erin, they will pay for killing my parents" she add. This is what Douglas want, for Alexis to hate lycans and her mate who is also a lycan and it looks like he is slowly achieving his plans but the girl is still young that's why she believed such lame lies

"Don't try to bear so much grudges my dear because it will become a burden to you. You don't have to hate the lycans"

"But they killed my parents"

"I know, maybe it is one lycan that killed your parents... will you hate others because of that one lycan"

"It is not just a lycan Erin, it was all of them cos they had an agreement with the witches"

It looks like Alexis mind is made up and she can't even tell her the truth, that Douglas lied to her
