I am Alpha Michael Roger and my mate is Ruth Roger. I first encountered Ruth several years ago at a gathering hosted by another pack. From that moment we have forged a strong bond supporting each other even through challenging times.
I lead the Black Moon pack after my parents were cruelly dispatched by rogues. Since then my mate, along with my two closest friends Beta Jayden and Gamma David have been integral to our pack.
Beta Jayden's mate Nadia is currently expecting their first pup while Gamma David has yet to find his mate. Speaking of joyous news I must mention that my lovely mate Ruth is also expecting our first pup.
Ruth and Nadia share a friendship that is close though not without its complexities. On the other hand my beta Jayden and Gamma David harbor reservations about Ruth because she is a witch. They often express their concerns suggesting that something feels amiss. Admittedly, it took me some time to come to terms with the fact that my mate is a witch too.
One area of contention between Ruth and me is her commitment to her business which operates outside of our pack. With her pregnancy nearing its conclusion our discussions have turned into arguments about her responsibilities. I often remind her, 'She is carrying my first Alpha daughter!' Yes, you heard right.
A couple of days later Ruth gave birth to our beautiful daughter. I must confess she does not resemble me at all; she has inherited dark green eyes from her mother and her hair is pure black. This is unusual for me as I have dirty blonde hair and striking electric blue eyes while Ruth's hair is a rich chocolate brown.
We named our daughter Claire while Beta Jayden decided to name his daughter Italia. Remarkably both Ruth and Nadia gave birth on the same day albeit at different times Ruth in the morning and Nadia in the late afternoon.
Fast forward two months since Claire’s birth.
Beta Jayden, Gamma David and I gathered in my office.Taking a moment to sit on the couch. I began"Gentlemen there’s something troubling me."
They both leaned in, attentive.
"I’m not quite sure how to explain this, but Claire has a distinct scent that I cannot quite grasp. I’ve tried to dismiss it but lately, it's become overwhelming. The worst part I can hardly stand to be in the same room as my daughter; that scent drives me insane."
"What do you mean by a different smell?" Gamma David inquired, his voice low and cautious.
"It's as if she has a mate's scent but that can't be possible... she’s my daughter." I responded, equally perplexed.
Gamma David pondered his jaw clenched while Beta Jayden stared into space lost in thought.
"Come on guys, I need your help here."
Desperation and anxiety seeped into my voice.
"Right now, we can’t find answers until she turns eighteen years. I guess we have to wait for Claire to grow then we will figure out what scent you are talking about" Jayden suggested.
We all concurred with Beta Jayden's assessment.
Years passed, but the strange scent only intensified over time.
Each day, month and year became a torment, a relentless nightmare that haunted me both day and night.
I became weary, sleep-deprived and unable to find solace with that scent lingering around me.
After confiding in my beta and gamma nothing changed. Jayden's suggestion to wait for Claire to turn eighteen seemed the only option.
I scoured every book on werewolf lore yet none offered the answers I sought.
Firstly, my daughter does not resemble me and secondly, that scent pulls at me. I find it hard to believe that my mate could betray me surely I would sense it through our bond.
Years passed without forming a genuine connection with Claire. I often came up with excuses to avoid seeing her ensuring our encounters were only from a distance.
I know I sound like a terrible father, but how can I escape this overwhelming scent? How can I resist that pull that makes me want to be by her side? To kiss her passionately, to hold her as if there were no tomorrow?
Damn, am I a monster for even entertaining these thoughts about my daughter.
To make matters worse today is Claire's birthday. I have a beautiful necklace for her but I struggle to find a way to present it to her. Even Beta Jayden and Gamma David refuse to assist me in delivering the gift.
I never imagined my life would take such a turn.
A few hours later, I found myself in a conference room with two alphas from other packs discussing a potential alliance. I silently prayed to the Moon Goddess for the meeting to conclude so I could escape the impending birthday celebration.
I realize I may be a coward but please don’t judge me.
As the discussions progressed the scent suddenly hit me like a wave stronger than before.A blend of mint and coffee.
My wolf cried in my mind. "Mate, mate, mate."
Through the door I could hear my daughter and Italia laughing and chatting among themselves.
No, no, no! I have a mate Ruth. There is no way Claire can be my mate. How can this even be possible?
My wolf insisted."Claire. Mate. Go. Now."
My body stiffened in the chair as another alphas in the conference room called for me, confusion evident in their voices. I couldn’t respond but deep down I sensed they knew I had found my mate. Their eyes were filled with questions particularly about Ruth who was or perhaps still is my mate. The pull I felt was irresistible and my wolf incessantly echoed the word 'mate' in my mind. Without hesitating I made a beeline for the door.As I passed through the crowd of werewolves mingling at the party many were engaged in the pursuit of their own mates. I could see that some had already found theirs, judging by the way they were lost in each other’s embrace.I headed directly for the ballroom where the scent was overwhelmingly strong compelling me to claim her instantly. The intoxicating blend of mint and coffee hit me like a wave. While searching for the source of that alluring scent I spotted her standing at the bar with Italia her best friend. She was sipping something that resembled wi
After a few hours had passed I awoke to a haze of blurred vision gradually realizing that I was lying in a hospital bed. The scent of rain-soaked in soil wafted into my nostrils as I turned my head to the right.Seated beside me was my so-called father or perhaps I should refer to him as 'mate.' Our eyes met holding a moment of silence until he cleared his throat."I’m not quite sure where to start but I’m relieved to see you awake. You had me worried there." he said, his gaze lingering on me with a sheepish intensity reminiscent of a child eyeing a coveted lollipop. In that moment I was overwhelmed. I found myself captivated by the brilliant electric blue of his eyes and the tempting curve of his fuchsia lips which I could easily imagine kissing. His muscular frame and the definition of his abs visible beneath his T-shirt left me momentarily speechless. 'Damn his messy golden hair.' I thought, chiding myself. 'Get it together Claire. You have so many questions to ask.'I frowned at
I was genuinely excited to support my mate Claire. It's not that she harbors any fear of Jane; rather it's in my nature to stand by my mate. I hope she can understand the reasons for my absence over the years while I fully expect her to be angry with me and not to give me any credit I still wish she could see my struggles as well.Honestly who could have anticipated that my daughter would turn out to be my mate? It feels odd to hear her call me 'Dad' the term seems inappropriate now especially since I still seek clarity on how I could be Claire's mate. The situation feels utterly bewildering. As I reflect on all of this I suddenly feel a small gentle hand resting on my chin so soft and comforting. An electric surge courses through my body rendering my knees weak. I look up to see Claire gazing at me her expression uncertain."Are you okay?" she asks, concern evident in her eyes.I hold her gaze for a moment before nodding. "Did you feel something when I touched your chin?" she inquir
Her hands crackled with a dark lightning power that was both mesmerizing and terrifying. Her eyes were an inky black and her hair billowed around her as if caught in a fierce wind.If I hadn’t known her better I would have doubted anyone who claimed this was Ruth.“WHAT ON EARTH IS HAPPENING, MICHAEL?” She took deliberate steps toward us her gaze locked onto Michael.“ANSWER ME, MICHAEL” With a forceful motion she struck his shoulder with a massive spark of electricity emanating from her hand.I would be lying if I said it didn’t hurt him; being an Alpha usually provided with being more strong but if she had hit a mere Omega I feared the consequences could have been dire.Michael grimaced clutching his shoulder tightly. But Ruth wasn’t finished. She advanced toward us again.I gazed at her in sheer horror. I had never seen her like this before. Who was this monster?Could this truly be the woman I had called 'mom' all these years? It seemed impossible. When she unleashed a wave o
I awoke around six in the morning, which marked the start of my day. After attending to my morning routine in the bathroom, I dressed and made my way to the kitchen to grab some breakfast before heading out to check on Michael. As I was eating Italia entered the kitchen. She raised her arms, signaling that she wanted a hug. I quickly went to her and embraced her tightly. In that moment, I felt overwhelmed, weary, and despondent. I began to cry silently while holding her close. 'Damn I never realized how much I missed her until now.' I thought to myself. After a few moments, we broke our embrace, only to discover that she had been crying silently as well. Our eyes met, and we shared a small laugh amidst the tears."Hey, I heard from my dad about everything that's been happening. Are you okay? I tried to come see you yesterday, but Mom and Dad said you were exhausted. I figured I’d find you in the kitchen this morning." she said, her voice light but concern etched on her face."Honestly
When Claire gently brushed her tiny fingers across my face an electric sensation surged from my scalp throughout my entire body pulling me from the depths of a deep slumber. Her soft whimpering filled the air, stirring a profound sense of grief within me. The sound of her cries tugged at my heartstrings; I could never bear to see her in tears whether they were shed for me or caused by someone else's actions. In that moment, I knew I had to act. I turned to her and asked who had made her cry hoping to catch her attention and let her know I was awake. To my surprise, my little angel looked utterly shocked. I then playfully inquired if she had missed me and the expression that crossed her face was nothing short of beautiful. But I could no longer contain my feelings. I began to plead with her, "Please, don’t turn me away my baby girl. If it’s the age difference that concerns you don’t let that come between us." I broached the topic of our age differences because she was just 18 and I was
As I stepped into the bathroom a broad smile crossed my face as I turned on the cold shower.I never imagined that Claire and I would share such an intense moment.Typically, I hesitate to act without her consent but when she tested the water, I definitely turned it up.My wolf and I were on the verge of marking Claire; I could feel my desire coursing through me, a testament to my feelings for her.She truly has a way of overwhelming me.Swiftly, I shed my pajamas and stepped beneath the cold water.I began to envision Claire drenched and alluring, her breath, her moans, her kisses, and her scent flooding my mind.In a frenzy, I moved faster holding my length, picturing her until I finally reached my peak, growling and calling out her name 'Claire my love.'Remembering that she was waiting for me in the lounge, I hurriedly finished up and made my way downstairs. As I descended, I overheard Claire and Italia discussing our passionate encounter.Their conversation brought a rush of heat
"I had always been a close friend of Ruth whenever she spent time at the pack house. There was an ever-present tension about her, as if she were burdened by stress or caught in a cycle of overthinking. On one occasion, she confronted me with a question that caught me off guard: she wanted to know who was trying to steal Michael away from her during her absence. At first, I assumed she was joking, but the intensity of her grasp on my arms shaking them as she locked her gaze onto mine and revealed a darker side to her character."Nadia recounted that experience as if she were reliving it, visibly trembling.Jayden quickly settled beside her, holding her hands for comfort.I beckoned Claire to join me and without hesitation, she leaped up and hurried over. I took her hand in mine grateful for her presence."After that day, I promised myself to keep my distance from Ruth," Nadia concluded, disbelief etched on her face."I can’t believe I missed all the warning signs." I admitted, feeling
ALPHA MICHAEL "May I have the pleasure of dancing with you, my dear?" I asked gently."Oh, absolutely." she replied, taking my hand and rising to her feet."I have a strong desire to devour every inch of you today, both tenderly and passionately." I whispered in her ear, then placed a soft kiss on the mark on her neck.As we embraced and twirled together, we found ourselves lost in the rhythm of a sweet melody that accompanied our every movement."My love, I can hardly wait for the ceremony to conclude. I yearn for you to be with me before my belly begins to swell. Indulge in me as you wish because in just two months, I’ll look like fat and ugly" she joked, laughing at her own playful comparison."Oh, my dear, I will love you just the same, even in that elephantine form, and I will cherish you in every way." I replied, chuckling at my own quip. She playfully tapped my shoulder and pouted. "Alpha Michael, you better not call me 'elephant body' if you wish to enjoy this body of mine to
CLAIREThree months had passed.Claire sat comfortably in a long chair within the dressing room while Italia diligently styled her hair. Both Claire and Italia had made a pact to ensure their hair and makeup were perfect for their wedding day.As they were focused on their preparations, Jayden entered the room. Italia was just finishing the final touches on Claire’s hair, delicately placing a flower beside her ear.“Come on, ladies! All the guests and your soon-to-be husbands have been waiting for quite a while.” Jayden said, glancing at his watch as he stood with his hands clasped behind his back.“Hey, Dad! I’m doing my best to make Claire look stunning. Don’t forget, she’s the Luna, and she must look even more beautiful.” Italia joked, causing Claire to chuckle at her friend’s playful banter.Jayden sighed, slightly exasperated, but opted to take a seat nearby instead of leaving.“Daughter, please hurry up.” he pleaded with Italia.Claire smiled warmly at both of them, though she s
CLAIREMy concentration wavered as I noticed Uncle Jayden being attacked by the wolf, its powerful paws poised above his heart. Memories flooded back, reminding me of the time I was powerless when Ruth ruthlessly killed Uncle David. I couldn’t let history repeat itself—losing someone so dear was not an option.Determined, I began to chant a spell designed to obliterate everything within, shattering bones and internal organs. Ruth, witnessing the wolf writhing in agony, was oblivious to the source of its suffering until her gaze fell upon me.Before I could evade Ruth’s swift strike, it hit me hard, sending me crashing to the ground with a painful thud. Blood trickled from my mouth, and I felt several bones crack under the force. Struggling to regain my composure, I lay in the rain-soaked grass, the pain coursing through me like wildfire. Before I could muster the strength to rise, Ruth unleashed another blast of her dark aura, which struck the devil squarely in the back. His face slam
ALPHA MICHAELI felt an immense sense of pride for my pack members; they rallied together and fought valiantly alongside us. The determination etched on their faces conveyed a powerful message: "We are committed, and we will fight until our last breath."A smile graced my lips as I absorbed the sight of their bravery, and my only wish was for this battle to spare us from further loss."Please, Moon Goddess, be with us during this fight." I whispered in a brief prayer, hoping for her guidance. As I turned my gaze to Ruth, I struggled to comprehend what had happened to her. Instead of finding humor in her current state, one would feel sympathy for the woman who was once so beautiful. She had carried my mate for five months and had been a significant part of my life for years. Yet, she had sacrificed everything for the sake of power. In her ruthless pursuit, she murdered her own parents, her mate, and anyone who dared to oppose her. Tragically, she even sought to reshape her own daughter
CLAIREI could hardly believe my eyes; Jayden was standing next to someone who looked just like him. What truly astonished me, however, was the sight of Ares, Nadia, Jayden, and his twin laughing heartily at my bewildered expression.“Love, what’s happening here? Please don’t laugh at me.” I implored, gazing pleadingly at my mate, as the others continued to chuckle at the pallor of my face.Michael turned me to face him, saying. “Baby girl, this is Paul Reed, the last member of the trio alongside Jayden and Italia. At the hospital, a woman who worked there took Paul, claiming to Jayden’s parents that the other trio couldn’t make it.”“What? Why would someone do something so cruel to another parent of a pup?” I questioned, my mind racing.“So you’re telling me that Uncle Jayden didn't know?” I asked, glancing at Jayden and Nadia, who both nodded in confirmation. “Yes, Jayden was unaware, and Paul is also my mate.” Nadia revealed, dropping yet another bombshell. I was left momentarily
CLAIREHave you ever found yourself in a moment of pure relaxation, completely detached from the outside world, only to find your thoughts consumed by a single prayer for Nadia's return? That’s precisely where I am.Months of relentless training alongside the twins have fortified me. Now, even if Ruth were to reappear, I would have the urge to confront her directly for the pain she has caused me.Despite the challenges we faced, many pack members who had fled or gone into hiding have returned. While it may not seem significant, having even 500 of them back is a welcome relief compared to the dire situation at the safe house, which housed 900 wolves and 450 pups. This gives us hope for the future growth of our pack. Our core group—my mate ,Ares, Jayden, the twins, the Underground Devil, and Alpha James, Annabelle's mate—have all dedicated ourselves to intense training. We knew that since my mate and the pack members were unprepared to combat the witch, we needed to be ready for any oth
BETA NADIAHe firmly clasped my hand as we descended the stairs. Lacking the strength to resist or argue, we moved quietly downwards. As we walked, I noticed three men lounging on the couch, engaged in conversation until their chatter halted, their eyes locking onto us just as I was about to speak. With a ferocious growl, Jayden’s presence rattled the glasses on the coffee table. "Let go of her bloody hand!" he shouted, his voice a mixture of fury and desperation. Before I could process his threat, Alpha Michael swiftly stepped in front of him, and Ares leaned in to whisper something to the two, prompting a nod from Jayden. His eyes burned with resentment as they fixated on me. In contrast, Paul remained calm and composed, his grip on my hand unyielding.Tears streamed down my face, and I struggled to comprehend why my mate would regard me with such animosity. Didn’t he realize that my actions were for our mutual benefit? For the safety of our packs after everything that had transpire
BETA NADIAI found myself thinking frantically, desperate to catch my breath when, all of a sudden, darkness enveloped me, accompanied by the sound of an explosive blast. Blinding light filled the space, causing me to clamp my eyes shut, sensing a presence entering my basement room.Who could blame him? He had done everything in his power to create a comfortable sanctuary for me, thoughtfully preparing a space for my unborn pup, equipped with all the essentials. Yet, in return, I had only sought to escape at every opportunity.Initially, he offered warnings, but after multiple attempts to dissuade me, he concluded that the only way to prevent my escape was to keep me locked away in the basement. The door clicked shut behind me, and my heart raced uncontrollably; I felt an overwhelming urge to cry out.A low, husky voice broke through the silence, calling my name. "Nadia." Suddenly, I was drawn against a large, rock-like figure that was his body. My fear surged, and I managed to speak
BETA JAYDENMy patience wore thin when Ares mentioned he was acquainted with that Paul guy. My immediate desire was to confront him—how could he torment my mate and then take her away? However, Alpha Michael's words resonated with me: I still lacked complete information about Paul. It was wise, as a beta, to gather all pertinent details before making any rash decisions. I realized I needed to sit down and jot down any small fragments of information I could gather to understand the motives behind Paul's actions. From my perspective, Paul appeared to be a decent young man, anxiously awaiting his mate's eighteenth birthday. To shield his mate from his wolf's instincts, he sought the help of a witch to suppress his wolf until that milestone. This raised questions in my mind—why would he mute his wolf? Was it a matter of safety? Was his wolf feral, or was there another underlying issue?Gradually, I began to empathize with him; perhaps something traumatic had occurred that caused his wolf
