ALEXANDER'S POV

There is no greater joy than having my son in my arms. A proud father and a successful CEO.

Solara Helixia will be great again and even greater than anyone has ever imagined even after I am gone.

I bless the day I succumb to my mother's pressure of taking this young and beautiful lady as a contract bride. I must say I am the most blessed man to have my entire being surrounded by massive blessings and goodness. This indeed was a miracle.

The last few days gave birth to so much joy for me that I took a few days off work. James and the others would manage the team and anytime they wanted to reach me via mail I was sure to respond.

We are home now. And I can't take my eyes off my babies. I could spend the next few hours kissing and hugging them one after the other.

" Can they see me yet?". I asked too ignorant or excited to know.

"Not yet Alex, they are just two days old," Helena pointed out.

"So you mean they can't see me?"

Yes huh, give them a few more days and they wi

ALEXANDER'S POV The news of Derego's arrest came as a shock to me. I mean he was a strong man and a Don no one would miss with. Even though I have had clashes with him on several occasions. He has been a serious pain in the ass for me and my entire family. Helena and I took our seats on the bed to get the full idea of the reason for his arrest. I quickly picked up my phone and dialed my mother's number. She has to hear from them as soon as possible and I needed to inform her about the new development just in case she had slid on the information. I pushed out her contact from my last call log even though she hasn't come all the way to visit my newborn. That wasn't even a problem to me. She needed time to heal from Sophia's deceit. She needed time to come to terms that Helena is the only woman I want to be with. She needed time to forgive herself for being mean, rude, and heartless towards Helena and her family. I hadn't spoken to her in days but each time I went to her house her

ALEXANDER'S POV.It's a beautiful morning, to begin with. I had to resume work as the workload at my table increased drastically within the few days I was absent from work. Tons of documents to sign and approve and a pile of emails I intentionally left in my inbox. Family time was important to me as well as work and I never hesitate to strike a balance between the two whenever I deem it necessary. I was sitting in my office rocking myself happily on my seat, slowly munching on the potato chips my wife had packed for. I was on my way to work this morning when suddenly I heard a knock that seemed like a catch from a lion's paw on my door. I paused and listened again making sure I wasn't delusional or being deceived by my senses. The knock came again. "Come in," I said, hurrying to crack out the larger pieces of potato chips I had stuck in my mouth. My eyes widened hoping to see anyone else other than James or any of the other staff. It's better to have a shameless time with my staff

ALEXANDER'S POVBy the time Sophia left my office I was pissed. Too upset to concentrate. I got up from my seat and tossed my office from wall to wall, edge to edge flipping the pen I held in my hand with no exact purpose. I sighed. Then finally decided to pause by the window side. A tiny bird rested on the rear eaves of the building across from my office. I watched it hit its beak picking on what seemed like dust from the far end I was standing. I smiled. Even birds have to sort out their daily food. I thought in my mind. Solara Helixia is a great company owned by my father and before his death, the company flourished so well that it won so many awards. My mother, Mrs. Isabella Stone is a rare gem. I couldn't have come this far without her help. Even though we had our ups and downs, she was always in my way to ruin what I love doing yet I honored her so well. I was fearless with a physique that everyone dared not to look at me twice yet I shrank when my mom spoke. I wasn't the

HELENA'S POVThis has to be the happiest day of my life. I never would have thought that the reconciliation between Alexander's Mom and me would come in so handy. I couldn't stand watching her cry, I couldn't stand looking at her eyes, the way they turned red and read sincere remorse. I was pleased and joyful that she showed up even when I least expected it. My dad and Gabriel were still in the house. They were family, 8 had pleaded with Gabriel to stay a little longer after all he wasn't even married yet. My dad was much easier to persuade. He is now very much welcomed in the house even before the reconciliation with Alexander's mom.I helped her by the waist as we continued in the side hug straight into the living room. I cannot even begin to imagine the joy that had spread visible on Alexander's countenance."I'm sorry I couldn't come as early as planned"."It's fine, I waved it off. I was more than pleased she had finally realized her mistake. And I admire her strength to even co

HELENA'S POV.My Dad stood with his mouth gaping at Mrs. Stone. And so was I. "A brand new house" "Ya. It's All yours" she said with a smile on her face. By now she had gone over to carry one of the babies in her arm. "They are so cute". She says I smiled nodding my head in agreement. I was happy I didn't witness this alone. From being a wife on paper to being his real wife. "I thought about how to come clean of my Sins and that was the only thing that kept ringing in my heart. You can keep the land too".For real? I asked in surprise. I batted my eyelids at her. Letting out a soft chuckle. This has to be a miracle. Looking into my dad's eyes I could see the excitement he was trying to hide. He blushed and smiled from ear to ear. I could remember just a few months ago how both families were all fist and blood because of some hidden reasons. Those nights alone in my room were the most horrible nights of my life as I could recall the hot arguments with Alex and how his mom treate

HELENA'S POVWe go back into the house. I couldn't stop smiling as Alex and I laced our hands tight and walked back into the sitting room My body ached but I had to manage for the sake of the baby. This was new to me and to think that I didn't enjoy the area of being a mother myself I was caught between the blank of balancing trying to sort out myself and two little humans who depended solely on me to survive. I twisted my shoulders and let out soft painful grunts."Are you okay?""Ya". I lied and yawned. God knows I wasn't okay. I wasn't fine, I wasn't alright, I wasn't myself. Sweet Jesus. I've had little or no time to sleep in the last four weeks. I just couldn't imagine going through this stress for another year. I slouched on the couch holding my head in my hand. Then I decided to finally go into the kitchen to get water. I brought out a glass from the glassware and turned some water into the glass. I gulped it down my throat and turned in another. The feeling was too refres

ALEXANDER'S POVZayn's voice got Helena and me jumping out of bed like two crazy people. She had slept off while trying to seduce me last night and this morning here we are running to carry out babies like the world was crumbling. I don't know how long they've been awake but the last scream was what got me running back to life from the dreamland.Helena quickly grabbed her robe and tied it to her waist. "What's wrong with you buddies, you got us scared to death". I said to both Zayn and Zahir. If this is the stress I have to go through till these babies grow up then I think I would be needing a million more nannies. "That scream was not necessary boys, your mama and I were just sleeping just like you two have been sleeping all night". I peered out the window and it was still dark. I quickly picked up my wristwatch and checked the time. It was 5 am.I scoffed. Holding Zahir in my arms."I think they are hungry"., my wife said"Hungry?". At this time?"Yeah"."Who eats breakfast at 5

I wore my dress shortly after and took my time to do my makeup so it's out finely each time. I nodded at the superb job and examine it on the mirror dresser. HELENA'S POVAlex and I continued to dance. We swerved in the same rhythm for about fifteen minutes after taking our vows. This was an awesome moment for me. I knew life would be much easier and smooth now that we have done things the right way. Alex was hard-working and I too gradually grew into a great woman. For my company at least a year I should be able to boast of twenty to twenty-five employees. I had a few contracts I needed to close after the entire celebration."Have I told you you are beautiful?" Alex asked him. His hands were on my waist."Do you mean today?" Yes,"Well, you haven't told me that today"."Helena Alexander Stone".I blushed. My cheek burned. I pressed MY cheek against his chest. I felt warm and protected in the arms of my own man. "So, what now?""What do you mean now? HE asked as he chuckled. He paused and stared into the crowd."Are you expecting anyone?" HELENA'S POVTwo weeks later I had suddenly become friends with my best friend's girlfriend Cherry. Cherry would be the sister I never had. She did everything with professionalism and the fact that she would be my best friend's wife in a few months makes me want to draw her to me forever. We've had a few dinners at home together and she has always helped with picking out the best decor and designs we would use for my big day. I have known her only a few weeks but I must say that she is truly an angel. Gabriel needed a woman like her around him. She is so re-spirited and loving that I wished she was my friend from the very beginning. She sure knows her job and does it with so much enthusiasm. "With the way you vibe so much with your event planner, one would think you too have been friends from Genesis" Alex had told me on one of the days I was so excited talking about how good she is with her job and how I couldn't wait to see all she was going to do at the wedding. • AGAINST THE TIDES   Chapter One Hundred and Three

HELENA'S POVI slept off on Alexander's chest. This has got to be the most horrible night of my life. I was exhausted by the time the sun hit my face from the window. Baby Zahir was awake too. He gave me a welcome smile. I pinched his little cheeks softly and then I suddenly remembered that we had spent the night at the hospital. Alex was awake all through. I was sure he was finally swept off by sleep at the very nearly hours of the morning after being a strong watch to me and the kids. On this part, I was vulnerable and soft. I could barely take good care of myself and talk more about adding extra humans to my list. My hair was a mess. Erect like grasses of the field the strands stood. "Good morning my love," Alex said and kissed me on the cheek. "Good morning baby" I kissed back. Then I realized I had been sitting on his lap for a long time. I got up and proceeded to check Zayn a bit. To my greatest surprise, the young man was fully awake. He has changed mine for today I don't k

HELENA'S POVI managed to stay calm. With Bella by my side, I was sure I would be strong through the process. She held baby Zahir while I paced the private room back and forth waiting for the doctors to come with feedback or something we can hold as the sole cause of this sudden illness. We've been in the hospital for about forty-five minutes. Alex showed up just in time. I was holding my little boy's hand when he pushed the door softly and peered his head into the room. He searched it to be sure he was in the right room before coming in. I took in a deep breath of relief and walked over to him. I buried my head in his chest as he hugged me. His cologne, a scent I was already used to replenishing my nostrils left me with a sense of protection and hope. I was more than happy he had shown up even though the results of the numerous tests would be available.Thank God you're here". I told him.
