Chapter Eighty-Nine

HELENA'S POV

This has to be the happiest day of my life. I never would have thought that the reconciliation between Alexander's Mom and me would come in so handy. I couldn't stand watching her cry, I couldn't stand looking at her eyes, the way they turned red and read sincere remorse.

I was pleased and joyful that she showed up even when I least expected it. My dad and Gabriel were still in the house. They were family, 8 had pleaded with Gabriel to stay a little longer after all he wasn't even married yet.

My dad was much easier to persuade. He is now very much welcomed in the house even before the reconciliation with Alexander's mom.

I helped her by the waist as we continued in the side hug straight into the living room. I cannot even begin to imagine the joy that had spread visible on Alexander's countenance.
