Giselle's POV. I finished the classes I had in the morning. I was still expecting Donald to text me or call, but I didn't see any. I left my office, and went to another lecture hall after lunchtime. I finished the lecture after 2 hours, and headed to my office, but on my way, I saw the situation in Bryan's class, and I wondered what happened, but it was not my place to interrupt. So I passed by, but I heard some words while passing by, ‘lover quarrel' I said inwardly, but I felt a little uncomfortable and sad, but I didn't know why. “It's their problem,” I mumbled, “but I thought he said he was single,” I muttered angrily. I got to my office, and sat down. And I couldn't get the words out of my head, which I didn't know why. “Giselle, get a hold of yourself!” I said to myself. I wanted to attend some of the assignments the students submitted, but a sound interrupted me, “grrrrrrrrrr” my phone rang, and I picked up, and the caller ID was Donald. I picked it after some thinking, “
Giselle's POV.“That means we can be friends,” Mr Wilson said. And I shook my head. This man seriously doesn't have self respect, I insulted him badly earlier, and he still wanted to be friends with me?“Just because I said we are cool, doesn't mean I want to be friends with you,” I said, and he smirked. “You're a feisty type, I like you,” he said, checking out like he lost some screw in his head.“I want us to be a good friend, who knows you might actually later like me,” he said with confidence, and I scoffed at his words. ‘He is not worth cleaning my husband's shoes’ I thought. “You must be unaware of this information, but I will tell you now, I am married,” I said, and his facial expression was still the same. I was surprised at how shameless he was.“So? It doesn't matter, we can just be each other's companions, and we will take care of each other's affairs,” he said, and I looked at him unbelievably. 'He is out of his mind!’ he said. And I became angry, “leave my office,” I sai
Giselle's POV.I drove home with a smile on my face, I couldn't remember when I genuinely smiled, but it didn't last, I got back home, and parked my car. I went into the mansion and I was expecting the guest to sleep over, but none were around. I was relieved that they left, but I like the one person among them and I wished to see her again.I wanted to climb the stairs, but suddenly I heard my mother-in-law's voice behind me. “Childless women always get home late since they have no one to cater for,” she said irritatedly, and I knew who she was referring to, but I didn't mind her.“Good evening ma'am,” I greeted, making sure I didn't say the word ‘’mom’. But she didn't reply, “my nephew's wife gave birth today, and my youngest sister became a grandmother today,” she said angrily.“Congratulations to them,” I said, and she looked at me with anger, “are you out of your mind?!” She flared up. “What have I done ma'am?” I asked. “What have you done? When are you going to give birth?! Al
Ivy's POV.Since the embarrassed I faced in the I wasn't able to think, and I decided to go out and have some fun, but what I saw only worsen my mood, I sighted Bryan and the young lecturer coming out of the place I wanted to reserve, I saw the chemistry that happened between them, I felt frustrated, and seeing Bryan's face beaming with love I felt more angry, ‘how dare him’ I said inwardly, and took the picture of the two as proof. Not too long, the young lecturer left the place in her car, while Bryan was standing and smiling like a finished man.I wondered what the young lecturer told him to make him look that stupid, I couldn't suppress my frustrations, and walked towards Bryan.“I must say that you are very bold,” I said and he turned around, but he wasn't even shocked seeing me, and that made me angry, I couldn't intimidate him.He looked at me and he wanted to walk away, but I shamelessly called him back.“Bryan, you can't walk out on me,” I said, and he smiled. “Says who?” He
Giselle's POV.I woke up early as usual and started to prepare for work. Donald left the house already, and I didn't bother looking for him because I was used to it.I got dressed and went downstairs for breakfast, and I was happy that the dinner hall was quiet. My mother in-law wasn't there, so I was relieved.I finished eating breakfast, and took my lunch with me so I wouldn't starve. I went to the car but I remember I didn't take my car key, so I had to rush in to pick it up.“I'm going to find another wife for Donald,” I overheard that while I was going upstairs, it was my mother-in-law's voice, she was on the phone with only God knows in the dinner hall, but I could hear her. And that word made me feel weak. I ignored it and climbed the stairs to pick my car key.I got to the room, and searched for the car keys, but I couldn't find any. There was a designated place for keys, but I was too distracted to remember. “Where could it be?” I asked myself searching effortlessly, and I be
Bryan's POV.After what happened yesterday, I kept thinking of a new way to stop Ivy, because I knew that hacking her phone won't last, I have to protect Giselle, and I didn't want to stay away from her either. I parked my car and waited for Giselle so that I could walk with her, but I didn't she her on time, and I want to call her then I remembered that, I didn't have her number, I waited for a while, and wanted to go in and ask for her contact information from the class governor, because he called her for the assignments last time, but a voice stopped me.“Bryan,” I heard, and I stopped to see the person and it turned out to be Claire. “Hi, Claire,” I said, and she wasn't looking happy, even when she hadn't said anything I knew something wasn't right.“Good morning,” she said faintly, and I nodded. “I-I break up with him,” she said, and I knew she was referring to already. “Did you think you will be fine?” I asked, and she nodded with a faint smile, and I knew that smile was too fake
Bryan's POV.I wanted to walk in to ask for Giselle's contact information, then I sighted a familiar person in a cab from afar, “isn't that Giselle,” I mumbled to myself, and I realized that I called her first name out loud. I got close to the cab, and I saw how distressed she was. ‘Why didn't she bring her car?’ I thought.“Good morning Mrs Albert,” I said cheerfully, knowing we shared a playful moment the day before. “morning,” she said flatly, but it sounded cold. “Is there any way I can help?” I asked, and she nodded at me.“Payment?” I asked, and she nodded again without saying a word, and that made me feel distant from her. She might not be playful, but not a cold type either. “I'm coming,” I said, and wanted to find her a voucher, because I also didn't have, all the time I drove her to her place, I only order taxi that is from one of my uncles company, and I only use my family card, so I don't have a cab voucher. I didn't know who to approach, but then I sighted one of my cour
Bryan's POV.I left her office and I headed to my lecture hall. I got to the hall, and I noticed that my presence made people feel uncomfortable, and they couldn't make eye contact with me. I knew they might have gossip about what happened the day before, so I ignored it and I wasn't curious about the topic. I sat down and brought out my phone to check the school group chat, and the first notification I saw was the picture I took with the girl I borrowed the voucher from. I shook my head seeing the caption. The caption “Bryan snapped with me today! I don't mind failing this semester, this is worth it!” And the hashtags #takeBryanandrun #forevermarriedtoBryan #protectthesmarthubby I read the comments under the post and I couldn't help but laugh, the girls were so toxic with their keyboards. After some time, the lecturer came in, and it was Giselle's class. I dropped my phone, and brought out my course material. I noticed that her mood had changed but the sadness was still there. She st
