Chapter two(part two)

2024-10-29 19:42:56The band consists of boys,they sat down opposite to their audience, the main vocalist is Thomas,Thomas Thompson blew Tiara back to last year,the day she saw him in some random Valentine party. It's exactly a year since that day,here she was about to listen to him sing. She stares at him for long but just when their eyes were about to meet,Tiara shyly looks away, she couldn't lock her eyes with someone she has been wishing to see for a year. Kyle whispers into Tiara ear,telling her that she's sure she has seen that lead vocalist before. She tells Kyle that It's possible since we meet people everyday but kyle insisted for a little while that she could swear she has seen him before.
The band begins to sing their song,Thomas sang the song with so much emotion, like he was the one who owned the lyrics but he wasn't since they announced the drummer as the song writer. Tiara listened to the pain in his voice,he sang about a lover who lost his lover because according to her, love could fade,she wakes up one day and suddenly she didn't have any space for him in her heart. The song title "love fades" got kyle,the lyrics and the emotion portrayed by Thomas while singing the song made her cry. But to Tiara,why did they chose to sing such an heartbreaking song on Valentine's day. They sang other songs too,but love fade was the one that got most of the audience. The band's performance came to an end. Tiara who has been waiting and wishing to see Thomas lost all her courage to walk up to him,she was hurriedly walking out of the hall when Kyle dragged her back. "The band's performance is over,are we not going home?" Tiara asks Kyle. "No,I love " love fades",I must commend the song writer and the vocalist,the song really hits me" . kyle walks to the band, she spoke of the song,how it gets to her and hits her heart real bad,its as if the writer of the song wrote it to heal her heart. Tiara stood beside kyle,with head bowed down,she was feeling embarrassed by Kyle's attitude while thinking of how to run away from the place. Thomas saw her while performing, he made it obvious that he was staring at her while he sang. Kyle then drags Tiara to Thomas,it was like she knows Tiara is avoiding him but she really was clueless there. "Hi,I love how you sang,it was just perfect" she stares at Thomas like she was thinking about something but still she didn't know where she saw him before. "Have we met before? I'm sorry for my question but I just feel that I have seen you somewhere before" she says to Thomas. Thomas's smile still made the butterflies in Tiara's stomach active, half of her loved it and the other half hated it. "Hi,I'm Thomas. We have actually seen other before,last year in a Valentine's party." Thomas said. "Yes,I thought as much. You.........?" Kyle doesn't even know what she's asking him in particular but Thomas replies her. "I sat with Tiara before you took her away from me that night" he said. If only Tiara could say what she was thinking, that it wasn't Kyle who took her away but Thomas who disappeared into the night. Kyle whispers to Tiara ears asking her why she didn't tell her since it was obvious that Tiara remembers him. "Tiara thought about you a lot,why did you leave without any way of getting in touch with you, my girl was sad for weeks. I will leave you two to catch up on each other" kyle says as she leaves,she tells Tiara to call her later. Kyle and her big mouth,why did she have to tell Thomas that Tiara was sad thinking about him,she made things more awkward for Tiara. Thomas walks Tiara to a table at the corner of the basement hall,far from his friends. "Hi,it's been long." Thomas says and smile,that smile! "Why did you dissapear that night?" Tiara asks him. "I didn't dissapear,I got an emergency call and I really had to go that day. I'm sorry I had to leave that way". Tiara finally got the apology she felt she deserved but she was feeling far from what she thought she would feel,she wasn't angry, instead she was happy that they met this way. They ran into each by chance or perhaps fate. "Are you a better dancer now?" She giggles shyly. "I thought you'd forget about that,I'm still a bad dancer,you?" He asks Tiara. She never has been interested in dancing but whenever she thought about Thomas saying he would become a better dancer when next they met,she would twirl and position herself like one of those English dancers. Once her brothers caught her doing that, they laughed for a week,saying jokes about her weird position."I'm still not good with dancing too" she replies. "Maybe we can go for dancing class together" Thomas says. They laugh at the idea of going to a dance class together but deep down their heart,they knew they would love to do it together. She told him she got into college,he said it was nice. She asked him why he joined a band,if he loves singing since he sang perfectly earlier on. "Music just found a way to my heart on it's own. My friend brought the idea of this " band thing",I was against it at first,I thought it was stupid. They said I was living life too tight you know,so I decided to sing for fun at least,but now I'm thinking of music dreams. I've realised that I love people listening to my song." He said. She nods her head agreeing to his idea,she says "music really is your thing,the band is good. I'm sorry if you'd love to have a large crowd listening to you sing but I think I prefer today's little audience, it was very nice" she says. Too bad,it was the last performance of the band. They kept it a secret because that didn't want their little fans telling them to continue since they felt the band had nothing for them in the future. "Well,your life is nice,you're probably living some of your best days. Well,I work as a part timer at a pastry close to my house. She asks him about his sister and he asks her about her brothers. She told him about destiny, if he still believed in it. He told her he stopped believing in stuffs like that last year. She really wanted to ask him why,why he stopped believing in it when he planted the idea of believing in it on her. She believed in destiny and fate when she met him but now he's telling he doesn't believe in it when she has become one of the biggest believers of it,most especially after seeing him again. But she couldn't ask him why he stopped believing in it. Thomas,on the other hand wanted her to ask him that question," why did you stop believing in it but she couldn't. "I believe in destiny and fate,I mean it happened today. I saw you once again after exactly one year,only destiny explains it" she says. "What happens today is just a mere coincidence, it can happen to any body" he tells her. Her phone rings,she answers the call. It was her mom, she told her one of her twin brother got into an accident, her mother's voice was breaking, she was crying. She told her mom to calm down and hurriedly carries her bag. "I'm really in an hurry now,let's meets again another day when our destiny drags us together again,not by chance but by destiny." Tiara hurriedly leaves the place. Thomas stares at the door picturing her leaving the hall over and over again. This time she left,without dropping her number,she is hoping that destiny brings them together. Thomas felt like telling her that they will never meet again because of her stupid hopes on destiny and fate. Tiara regrets her actions whenever she thinks about it,what pushed her to do that. She visited the basement hall after a week but the owner told her that the band performed last on Valentine's day,he said he was sure they disbanded already, she begged him for a way to contact them but he said he didn't have any. She kept thinking about it,why didn't he tell her that his band was disbanding. Well,she bragged about fate and destiny to him. Destiny and fate better work for her next time too.Related chapters

CHAPTER THREE February 14th,2013 Thomas thought about Tiara,why she would want destiny to work on them. He was one of the biggest believer of fate and destiny, how two people keeps meeting by chance turned into fate. His father taught him that way,he said he saw his mom by chance or rather destiny, for years he knew his father, he always celebrated Valentine's day with his mom,he never once failed to get her a Valentine's gift. Whenever he asked his father why he lives that,free spirited and happy, he told him: "Boy,life is about fate and destiny, what's yours will be yours and what ain't yours is never gonna be yours. The restaurant smelt nice,classic musicians playing at a designated stage for them,too luxurious to Tiara but she kept quiet about being uncomfortable. She couldn't hide her surprise when Tiara told her they were sitting at different tables, she thought it was more like a double date and not putting her in an awkward situation with an unknown guy. Tiara smiles at Kyle's boyfriend, that was all they could; smile and say hi since they met twice or thrice. CHAPTER FOURFEBRUARY 14th 2014 Tiara thinks she saw Thomas,not on Valentine's day last year but some times,it felt like he passed her. Just like in movies,two individuals passing each other unknown to them,maybe she passed him when he turned to a corner to make a phone call or he passed her when her back was turned to her. She doesn't know how but a little part of herself asks her "didn't you pass him?" . she thought about it,it is silly to keep thinking about him,she questions herself wondering if he thinks about her too. She looks at herself in the mirror, a white t shirt and denim. Sometime last year,probably in may Thomas met Ciara. He said Ciara made him think about his father,his father that died on the day he met Tiara,he said meeting her would make his heart hurt but he gave Ciara a lot of attention because her name reminded him of Tiara's, the only different is C and T.

"I know a good cafe with a piano,let's go there. Okay with that?" He asked. She nodded her head in agreement, he promised to play her some of Brahm's music. The cafe is small,Tiara loves it. Ciara walks to them,she politely welcomes them to her cafe. "Hi,I heard you have a piano?" He asks. "Yes,my boyfriend owns it,he's inside" she leads them them to a room at the corner end of the cafe. Tiara whispers to Richard asking him why he picked a piano date outside when he has one at home. He responds to her question with a smile. They walked around the park for a while,holding hands like lost lovers. While they walked she smiles,looking at him like she was searching for something in his face. "Why the look? Is there something on my face?" He asks her "Yes" "What's it? Where??" He asks "It's all over your face, destiny". She avoided speaking about destiny ever since she met him again,she still isn't sure why she avoids the topics, but what's the harm talking about it today. People walked around the park, mostly young couples holding hands and smiling. It was like everyone decided to visit the park on Valentine's day. He asked her if she still believed in that,she gave a quick nod and pointed her finger at him,she told him he made her believe in it. He told her he stopped believing in that,he said it was by chance.

CHAPTER SIX February 14th 2016Thomas drove to pick up Tiara in Kyle's flower shop. She started her flower business mid year of 2015,it's a nice shop doing fairly well. He has asked Tiara a lot of times why she doesn't allow him pick her from her house or drop her there but she Never answers,he didn't want to pressure her so he stopped asking. He was like her too,they never talked about each other's family,they were so close but too far from each other. He moved out of his family's house because his Mom decided to marry another man,he doesn't want her to have another man in her life,he said his father is still up there loving his mom,why does she have to betray him. He threw a lot of her flower gifts away,they reminded him of his father who used to buy a lot for his mom. Seeing her holding a flower she got from another man disgusted him. Tiara sat on the sofa,wearing a white shirt that originally belongs to Thomas,she calls for him asking him to bring the wine quickly. Thomas comes with a bottle of red wine and glasses in his hands,he is wearing only a sport pants. They drank wine,they talk about different things work,friendship and music, they kept avoiding any issue concerning family. Richards raises his glass up,he says he wants to give a toast to someone he knew. "To you who thinks you've found true love again,I hope it's true. I hope your heart don't get broken,I may be a rude jerk sometimes and a bad boy to you but I hope you find happiness and heal your wounds" he says and smiled,one of the safest smile one could ever see. All the valentines day for Tiara has always been special since she met Thomas. Tiara walks around the kitchen in her night black dress,she prepared breakfast for Thomas she planned to give him "breakfast in bed", she carried the toast and warm milk in a tray as she walks to their bedroom.
