Chapter 6 Accusation

After she had mocked Ryan, a minute later and a man who looked pretty pale, sweating profusely as if he just came from a hellish torture entered the room. Hurriedly apologizing to Yana and Xuan while wiping the sweat on his forehead and bowing exaggeratedly.

“Oh, what a surprise Director, I heard you have a nephew? You must've been too elated to even let snakes roam here, overusing your power just to let an incompetent man in my company play king. It makes me wonder if I had made a mistake to let CEO Xuan handle my business.” her poisonous remarks did not only pressure Ryan and his Uncle, it also made Xuan and the gossip monger employees outside ponder if they had done something wrong. “Do me a favor, hand me your resignation letter, or I will let my men drag you out of here and not let you receive a single penny. Well then, ciao.” patting the nonexistent dirt and crease on her emerald green suit paired with a cream-colored inner turtleneck shirt.

Walking out of the room with her head held high while the people outside parted to make way for her in a respectful stance.

“Ahh you guys flatter me too much, I'm just the little lady boss. You don't have to be so...courteous.” hearing that from her, the poor employees felt like there was a lump in their throat, unable to comprehend if she means well or was just testing them. And just to play safe, they remained bowing and refused to let her words confuse them. Yana could only shake her head, it appears that her little show of power scared them silly, but whatever, it's better than letting those greedy men lurk around.

Followed by the secretary she stole from her husband. She glanced at him and smiled excitedly however her little action made the poor man get goosebumps, after she had scared everyone there, Secretary Lee took note that the new boss is a little lioness, even CEO Ji was helpless around her.

“YANA! Wait!” Xuan said while running after them yet Yana purposely entered the elevator as if she heard nothing and let the elevator doors close. Hurriedly tapping the elevator buttons but to no avail, it was sealed shut and on its way to the ground floor.

Smiling to herself, Yana brushed her hair off to the side and giggled. As she stepped out of the lift, Xuan’s exhausted face welcomed her.

“Oh, what a surprise CEO Ji, I see you can still rival youngsters like the old days” glancing at the elevator then back to him, she added. “You even got enough strength to walk the stairs just to meet me. I am honored.”

“Allana Delaney” looking at her with his hazel eyes, Yana felt her heart hurt a little. “Let’s talk, please.” looking away from him and watched as a car pulled over in front of her. She just nodded and made its way there, sitting at the backseat leaving Xuan no choice but to act like a driver.

As they arrived at the restaurant, they quickly got a private room. “Please have a seat” Xuan pulled a chair for her but Yana purposely sat on the opposite chair. Unwilling to anger her, Xuan could only sit at the chair he offered her. He felt wronged but he got to endure, she must be really mad right now, he just hopes that he will be able to coax her home, their child needs him. Wei will also feel sad if she is all alone at home.

“What do you want to eat? Prawn? Or lobsters? This place is really good with their seafoods, I know you love it, you used to-”

“I don’t eat seafood, I’m allergic, last time I ate, the helpers rushed me to the hospital remember? Oh yeah you weren’t around that time, Wei had accidentally sprained her ankle and needs your attention. It’s not me who loves it, it was Wei.” Speechless, Xuan awkwardly cleared his throat and asked if she wanted anything else.

“Just tell me what you want to talk about. You see I don’t have all the time to lounge around, as the president of a company, there's a lot on my plate right now.”

“I- How about we eat first then talk about it later, I haven’t eaten a meal yet. What do you think?”

“Whatever” casually pointing on a cheese platter and a cup of chrysanthemum tea. Xuan then nodded and rang the bell to make an order.

After their meal, Yana then looked at Xuan while casually stirring the refilled cup she had with her. “You have half an hour left.” she said and took a sip of the tea after blowing on it to cool it down.

“Yan, about me and Wei. I don’t know what to say but I’m sorry, I know it's pathetic but believe me I tried to stop, but I-” stopping his words, Yana smiled as if she clearly understood. “You love her?” unable to answer her question Xuan sat there speechless with his mouth slightly parted. “I see, then there's no need for us to talk Mr. Ji, It was nice to know you. Do expect the divorce papers at your office by the end of today. Thank you for giving me a child.” not letting him have the time to process the things she said, Yana stood and left the room with a blank cheque on the table as if it was the payment for the 5 years, they’ve been together. And what's worse was Xuan felt that the cheque also includes the payment for giving her a child. Clearly, she is making it so that she was nothing but someone who donated his sperm for her.

Thinking of his son living with Yana, Xuan felt the anger that he has been holding in since she left him. Crumpling the paper, Xuan stood up to leave and swallowed the madness that was about to burst, Yana clearly wanted to take revenge on him.

Making his way towards the door, Xuan heard a thud then a scream from outside, a voice that he was pretty familiar with. Wei!

Rushing outside the door, Xuan saw a tear streaked Wei on the floor with wet clothes. But what was even more shocking was that Yana is holding the clearly used finger bowl.

“Wei! Are you okay!? What the hell did you do Yana! And here I thought you had moved on, are you still bitter that I chose Wei over you? How could you go this far?” losing the capabilities to think rationally, he grabbed Yana’s wrist and gripped it too tight making her wince in pain as she stood there horrified by the sudden outburst.

“I-” Yana’s eyes watered as she was still too weak to face this side of Xuan, she still loves him and to see him rage over a girl, much painful is that the girl she was protecting was not her. She must've been so blind to miss the whole truth. She had never seen Xuan this mad, not even after his sister embarrassed her. Feeling wronged, Yana felt a lump in her throat and her eyes sting. How shameful.

“That’s enough” A man's deep baritone voice resounded as a soft slender pale hand stole her wrist from Xuan’s grasp and another hand snaked on her waist while burying her face to a hard chest, hiding her vulnerable state from everyone. “Finally, I found you” the man spoke as he kissed the crown of her head while caressing her back gently. Who?

Suddenly the area grew cold and the once gentle voice turned dangerously enchanting, not missing the clear authoritative and threatening tone to it. “Clearly Sir Ji should've used his professional side and assessed the situation before coming to a conclusion. To think that Dear Yana is leaving with a man like you for 5 torturous years, what a pity, you clearly mistook the a…. clown for a queen.” the man added before looking at Wei with clear disgusts. Making it so that the person she was pertaining as a clown was her. Insulted by his words, Wei tugged Xuan’s hand as if telling him to protect her, who ran to her after the man grabbed Yana.

“I am not a clown!” Wei shouted while biting her lower lip to appear pitiful and gather supporters from the audience. Scoffing to the foolish play before him, the man smirked.

“Yes, you aren’t, I must have been blind to make such an obvious mistake. You are not a clown; you are the entire circus. Now scram and practice for tonight's performance” looking at Xuan meaningfully, the man attacked them with his poisonous tongue and they took it willingly.

Turning to leave, the man bent down and carried Yana like a princess, he moved his head to the side and told Xuan to ask the people around to what really happened and learn from what happened.

Putting Yana down the passenger seat of his Bugatti La Voiture Noire with a customized matte finish and classy interior to match it to his liking. Opening her eyes and seeing such a luxurious car, Yana could only glance at the man who saved her.

“You-” chuckling at her shell-shocked face that looked as beautiful as ever. “Surprise”
