Sage's heart trembled. Her emotions and body have been a mess ever since Jace appeared. She was like a robot who was losing power for six months and was suddenly recharged. Many broken functions had to be restored, which meant processing these complicated feelings.

He cleaned all the plates on the table.

Sage looked up at him.

Jace flushed in embarrassment. "Sorry. I couldn't help it. This is the best meal I've had in six months."
