Chapter 804

When she opened the door, she saw Jace standing at the door with a worried expression. "What's wrong? Is your wound hurting?"

Sage frowned, looking at the dark circles under his eyes.

"Did you stay up all night, keeping watch at the door?" she questioned.

Jace shook his head. "No. I'm just passing by."

'Passing by? Who'd believe you!' thought Sage.

Jace scratched his head under Sage's intense glare. He changed his story and said, "I'm just standing here for a little while."

Actually, he had not slept all night. He feared he would wake up and go back to the past as if everything was just a dream.

He felt relieved when he saw Sage. Only then would he feel rooted in reality.

Sage looked at Jace and said nothing.

Jace's gaze shifted to Sage's arm and furrowed his brow when he saw blood oozing from the white bandage. "Did the wound open up? Let me see."

Sage moved too much when she stretched earlier. The stitch on the wound was slightly affected, but it was not a big issue.
