Sage understood Jace well, but she knew Luther even better.

Her brother Luther never did things that did not benefit him. Jace must have given him something he wanted as his attitude toward Jace drastically changed.

She never held back.

Jace said lightly, “Don’t worry, I’ll never cause your brother any harm.”

His answer was generic, but to Sage, it was as if lightning struck her.

Sage furrowed her brows and asked, “Did you investigate me?”

Jace always thought Sage was a talented mind reader. She could always hit the nail on the head.

He admittedly said, “Yes.”
