CHAPTER 2

"Hey!, Heaven, that's right! You've already had too much drink!" Kyla let go of me.

"Leave her alone Kyla, it's obvious that our friend is going through something. Let's just go there, come on! Let's dance!!" Yasse said excitedly.

"Heaven are you okay here?? Hey, Yasse waits for me!!" They walked to the center and danced with the men. I laughed softly to see how much they enjoyed it.

We're here at the club now and my eardrum hurts because of the loud music in here. Even if I cry here, surely no one cares and no one will hear.

"Hi!" I blinked and looked up at the man in front of me now.

"Hey!" I said and raised my left hand and then drank some more wine.

"Are you alone?"

"WHAT??" I was shouting asking him this question.

"ARE YOU ALONE??!" I nodded at him and smiled.

"Do you want to dance?" He whispered in my ear, it was as if the hairs on my body stood up because of the tickle of his soft licking of my ear.

He held my hand and helped me stand up. When we got to the middle he grabbed my waist and we started dancing.

"Heaven!" I thought I heard Ethan's voice but I didn't pay attention to it because maybe it was just because I was too drunk.

"Hey! Heaven!" I looked down and saw two feet on my side. I blinked my eyes because those shoes were familiar to me.

"Is there a problem??" That guy asked a question but I didn't answer. I raised my head and saw Ethan standing by my side.

He said something but I couldn't hear it because of the noise here.

"Bro I'm going to pick her up because her mum and dad are already worried about her!" Ethan said loud enough for the man with me to hear.

"Later! We'll have more fun! By the way, who are you anyway??!!" We stopped dancing and he faced Ethan.

"I'm her friend!!" Ethan answered meekly and suddenly the man laughed.

"You two are friends??" He asked me and I nodded in response.

"Friends with benefits??" He laughed at the question and thought it might be funny.

"He's just my friend, he's like a brother to me." Ethan grabbed my hand and pulled me a little away from the man.

"So, you're like brother and sister? There are people like that, right? They say they're just friends but then doing something--" Ethan was about to punch him but I got ahead of him.

"SHAMELESS IDIOT!! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THE WORD FRIENDS HUH!! STUPID!!!" I yelled at the man and all of a sudden the people stopped, as well as the music inside.

"Hey! That friend of ours looks like he got into a fight!" Yasse and Kyla immediately approached me.

"What's going on Heaven??" They both asked.

"Dammit, I was just asking!!" The man said angrily and rubbed his nose that was hit by my punch.

"Let's go, Heaven, let's go!"

"Yes, just leave him alone!"

The man was about to hold my hand but Ethan immediately punched him.

We finally left and I'm here now inside Ethan's car. Yasse and Kyla went home because it was already dark outside.

"What?? Did you suddenly lose your drunkenness?" He asked then laugh at the same time.

"I want to kill that man! He's terrifying!!"

"Me too, I would have punched that in case you preceded me." I laughed at him.

"Why didn't you even call me?" He asked me.

"I left my phone at home."

"Come here." I moved closer to him and he hugged me, I leaned my face on his chest.

"Mom and dad are going to stop setting up dates for me..."

"Because they are going to marry you off to the daughter of your father's acquaintance." He added to what I said.

"How did you know??" I want to ask.

"I heard mommy and daddy talking in the room, they're going to do the same to me. They just talked about it first." Damn, this is not the life we want.

He held my cheek and turned my face to him.

"Shhh, don't cry. We'll find a way, okay?" He wiped the tears from my cheeks. I nodded and hugged him.

"They're really annoying! I hate them!" I can't stop saying.

"I hate my mom and dad too Heaven but they are still our parents."

That's right! Even if the world turns upside down, it will never change that they are still my parents and I love them! If I don't love them, why am I even agreeing to go on a date or whatever they tell me to do even if I don't want to!

We were both silents until I heard his phone ring.

"Hello?" I'm looking at him now.

"See you? It's already late at night, and I told you I didn't want you, didn't I?!"

I frowned at him. "Who is that??" I curiously ask.

"It's Deo." He answered.

"Give me that, let me talk to that sh*t," I said softly and he gave me his cell phone.

[Is someone with you?! It's Heaven again! What I've been telling you before is right, there really is something between you two!!] I can feel that he is very angry with me and so am I.

"Something? You must be going crazy, why can't you just accept that my best friend doesn't want you anymore!!" I shouted on the cellphone.

[Oh!! It is you, Heaven! Are you really just best friends huh?! Are you two fooling me, if you can pretend to be his girlfriend!!] I just covered my mouth because of what he was saying.

This is what happens to Ethan's ex-boyfriends, who are getting paranoid when he broke up with them and they think it's my fault for their break up!! I would have accepted it if they were women, I could understand a little more, but seriously, men who are so jealous? It's because this best friend of mine is gay. So is it my fault that my best friend gets bored so quickly with them?

"Hey! Let me tell you, Ethan is like my brother, don't say anything if it's not true! You might want me to cut your tongue out!!" I said with emphasis.

My blood is really boiling for this man!

[Yes! You are best friends!! Best friends with benefits, right!]

"WHEN I SEE YOU!! I'M GOING TO RIP YOUR HAIRY PEN*S REMEMBER THAT!!" I said irritably and throw the cell phone on the backseat. 

Ethan doesn't care if I throw away his phone.

"Ethan stays away from that guy, I might kill him if I see you two together! And you two don't fit each other, he looks like Shrek!" He laughed at what I said.
