I shut the door behind me and decided to go to the living room, I don’t think I’ve ever stepped my foot there aside when I gave myself a welcome tour. I haven’t even seen anyone here watching the TV, there are so many things in this mansion that William hardly uses. I switch on the TV and settle on the chair comfortably, scrolling on Netflix for what to watch.I finally found a show to watch and settled for it. After a few episodes, I stretched the muscles of my better arm, rose from my seat, and casually strolled off to the kitchen in search of something refreshing to eat while I continued watching the show I’m now hooked on. I pulled the fridge door open, to bring out a juice carton, and poured myself a glass. I pick out a pack of cookies before shutting the fridge door and making my way back to my show.I push the door and almost bump into William, what was he doing on the other side of the door? At least the content of my glass didn’t pour on him this time. He glances at the Item
I woke up the next day, yawning and rubbing my eyes sleepily, I glanced at the time on the clock and it read 6.20 a.m. I quickly realized that William wasn’t on his side of the bed. I reached my hands out to touch his side of the bed, it was no longer warm, which indicated that he had been awake for a while.Argh, don't tell me he was actually thinking of going to work. I can’t win with this manSpeaking of the man, William walks out of his closet, dressed and ready for a day in the office.“Where are you going dressed like that?” I asked even if I knew the reply to my question. He turns to me briefly, not expecting me to be up yet “Where do you think?” He asks as he places his cufflinks on his wrists.“You aren’t supposed to be going to work yet.”“I’m fine. I’ve been away from work for too long. I’ve missed a lot of work, I can’t afford to keep on missing work like this. I have a launch coming up and slacking is not allowed, my father was not supposed to go in my place to that meeti
William’s p.o.vI glanced up at the clock in my office before looking out the window. Time had gone, it was already 8 p.m. My first day back at the office was more hectic than a usual day in the office.I logged off from my system and picked up the tie and suit jacket I had removed a long time ago. I switched off my office lights before walking out.The building was empty and quiet as expected since everyone clocked out at 6p.m I took the elevator to Luke’s floor because I knew he was also a workaholic like me and he would still be in the building since he hadn’t come up to my floor yet.The elevator door slid open and Luke was right there, standing by the elevator and about getting on.“I was on my way up to you.” He says as he gets in the elevator and presses the lobby button. “Romeo told me he sent lunch to you yesterday. Not fair, he has never sent any meals to me; later he’ll deny that he doesn’t have a favorite when it’s clearly you.”I gave him a side glance before facing forwa
Bailey’s p.o.vI held my pillow, snuggling into it while rolling on the bedWait! How am I in bed? I sat up straight trying to remember how I ended up in bed. The last thing I remember doing was falling asleep in the living room, did I sleepwalk all the way here?I got out of bed and made my way to the kitchen to get something to drink. I pushed the door open and surprisingly William was there nursing a cup of coffee, I glanced at the clock on the kitchen wall and it read 7 a.m.I walked to the coffee machine in need of a coffee too, ignoring William. “Good morning.” He says from behind me, almost making me spill the coffee I was pouring.“Good morning,” I mumble, while mixing all the ingredients I needed in my coffee.“Did you sleep okay?” he asks. I turned around quite shocked he was asking me this. I’m usually the one trying to make a conversation between us, not the other way around.“uhm, yeah I guess, did you?” I ask and he nods, the silence engulfing us. “Uhm. This might sound
William let out a loud hiss as he stormed out of the kitchen, I looked up at Matthew and he beamed, ushering me out of the kitchen. I walked out of the kitchen to my room with mixed feelings. Since we would only be staying for three days, I packed lightly, going with only the necessary items.I had never left America before, and I can't believe I am visiting Rome on my first visit out of the country. I was so pumped, unlike a grumpy somebody I know.I dialed Shayna’s number as I walked into the closet to get a few items.“Yooyoyo!” She squeals after picking.“Hey Shay, how are you?”“I’m good, you? I haven’t heard from you since you told me you were babysitting William, how is he?.”“That’s true, I’m good, he’s also good I guess, enough of all that, now guess why I called.”“You know I never guess right, so just tell me.”“I’m going to Rome,” I say squealing.“What! No f****ing way.” She says. “No way.” She says again screaming. “How come?” she asks.“William has an upcoming meeting t
We finally landed in Rome, a few minutes to seven. Exiting the airport, I felt so much excitement coursing through me cause I was in Italy, I couldn’t wait to start exploring and trying out the local foods. I took in my surroundings, gazing at the frenzied people searching for the people they were here to pick up.William and Henry walked ahead while I followed behind. We didn’t exit the airport through the front exit but rather, through another exit where a sleek black Rolls Royce was parked. This day just keeps getting better and better!Henry opened the black passenger seat for William and I and he took our bags and placed them in the trunk of the car before getting into the car through the front passenger seat. The car seats were made of dark leather and I inhaled the scent of musk and rose as soon as I sat and buckled myself in.“Good morning Mr. Armani, where to?” the man behind the wheel asks with his thick Italian accent.“ La Rosa Nera,” William replies, pronouncing the Itali
The first thing I noticed when I stepped into the room was the view, we were high up. The black silky drapes were opened and I could see the places surrounding the hotel for miles, I could even see the beach that was a couple of kilometers away. I didn’t come with a bikini but I was definitely going to visit that beach.I finally turned away from the view and took in the suite, it was grand and luxurious with its white couches, exotic rugs, and a round glass center table. The center table had magazines well stacked and two novels placed perfectly on it. The suite had a kitchen that was well furnished and stocked with items to make meals. The suite only had a room which meant William and I had to share the bed.Mathew planned ahead I guess.I was exhausted despite sleeping on the plane, I walked to the room and placed my bag beside the bed. I could hear the water running in the bathroom signifying William was in there showering. I removed my shoes and sweater like I did on the plane be
William was long gone by the time I woke up, it was nine in the morning.I hope his meeting ends up being successful, I know how hard he worked and how much this meant to him.I yawned as I walked into the kitchen to get a cup of coffee to give my system a well-needed boost. After drinking my coffee, I walk to the bathroom to shower to get ready for my day of mini-exploring. After showering, I pack my hair up in a messy bun and put on a summer dress and a pair of sandals, I twirl dramatically checking myself out in front of the mirror before grabbing my purse that had my phone and key card.First things first, I ought to find Alfredo.I use the private elevator to get down to the lobby, as the golden doors of the elevator slide open, I walk towards the receptionist’s desk. “Good morning.” I greeted her, and the receptionist lit up, a huge smile formed on her face“Good morning,” she replies cheerfully, I let out a sigh of relief, grateful I could communicate with her. “How can I help
