CHAPTER 81

William’s p.o.v

I glanced up at the clock in my office before looking out the window. Time had gone, it was already 8 p.m. My first day back at the office was more hectic than a usual day in the office.

I logged off from my system and picked up the tie and suit jacket I had removed a long time ago. I switched off my office lights before walking out.

The building was empty and quiet as expected since everyone clocked out at 6p.m I took the elevator to Luke’s floor because I knew he was also a workaholic like me and he would still be in the building since he hadn’t come up to my floor yet.

The elevator door slid open and Luke was right there, standing by the elevator and about getting on.

“I was on my way up to you.” He says as he gets in the elevator and presses the lobby button. “Romeo told me he sent lunch to you yesterday. Not fair, he has never sent any meals to me; later he’ll deny that he doesn’t have a favorite when it’s clearly you.”
