02: Rejected

AUTUMN:

My head felt like it was spinning in a circle. My stomach churned and the feeling of being sick was back a thousand times. Is Dominic cheating on me? Is he capable?

No. 

Dominic loved me. 

I clutched my stomach when it started to turn nuts. No. Not now. I did not want to puke. 

"Alpha Dominic, when will be the next time?" the voice of a woman asked inside the room.

Dominic. Were the rumors surrounding you true? Were you only fooling me and making me believe in your lies? How could you! I trusted you. I believed in your words that you loved me. 

I already knew the rumors around him. He was notorious for having a lot of women. Rumors said that he had already taken ALL the women in this pack. Excluding me. Did he even treat me like a woman?

The pack did not know that I was included with the women whom he was fooling around. 

“When I’m no longer busy, babe.”

Babe?

Yes! It was definitely his voice!

The reason why I could not reach him was because he was fooling around with another woman. 

I had already decided not to attend his alpha ceremony, but after knowing he cheated on me behind my back, the best thing to do was ruin his celebration.

I clenched my fist.

He deserved it. 

Will you attend the party? How? I do not have any dress. How will I find an outfit at this rate?  Besides, I don’t have the confidence to face the crowd. I only had some confidence when there was Dominic around me. 

"I will call you if I need you, babe."

My chest felt so heavy as if it was being ripped open. 

How could you do this? 

I leaned on the wall, waiting for the two to step outside.

Goodness.

I never wanted to have an interaction with Alpha Dominic. I wanted to punish him!

"Babe? You always call me babe," the woman muttered. “The last time I remember, you also used to call that cheerleader babe. Are you doing this so that you won’t be caught cheating on me?” the woman inquired as if she was going to cry. “I saw the kiss marks on her neck. Did you two kiss?”

Dominic. I wanted to kill you right now!

Then it hit me.

I was also called babe by this bastard. So, I was not the only one? 

I wanted to kill him right now. I wanted to wring his neck until he was no longer breathing! 

My hands shook. I. Will. Kill. You. Dominic.

"Don't you like it? It’s because you are my baby." An alibi. 

Silence. 

"Okay. Weird, but I will accept it. Especially if it came from your sinful mouth. You’re always a flirt, Dominic. Be thankful you’re handsome." She added, “And you are the alpha. I will be your Luna whatever it takes. You are mine, Dominic. I will be your only mate.”

Mate?

This was partly my fault. Because our relationship was hidden from every one, no one knew Dominic had already met me—his mate. In the first place, why did I believe that we should keep our relationship? 

"No, no, no. We cannot have another round. Father is looking for me. Next time, babe. I had a great time. Besides, there is no one except you."

He knew? 

Did Alpha Leo call him?

A couple of minutes and the two stepped out of the room.

The redhead woman was surprised to see me waiting for them while Dominic’s eyes widened upon seeing me.

I badly wanted to slap him, but I hid my hands behind my back and forced a smile.

I will never be the loser on this day. I won’t be losing my cool. I had to suck up everything. 

"An omega?" the redhead spat. She folded her eyes in front of her chest as her eyes darted to Alpha Dominic and could see the surprised look on his face. He should be surprised and scared. I will kill him. Later.  “Do you like this woman? Is she one of his women?”

Dominic’s jaw seemed like it was locked. 

 The woman looked at me from head to foot and back to my face. 

Yes, Dominic. 

That should be your reaction. I was faithful to you. I waited for this day so that we will be able to announce to the world our relationship and now…you have to be an asshole? I never knew you were a cheater, Dominic.

‘Why don’t you answer your whore?’ I asked in his mind. ‘How long will you keep in hiding this, Dominic? That you’ve been fucking someone else behind my back? Was she great in bed? Did you call her name while you orgasm? Was she good?’ I asked, no longer filtering my words. 

Before he could answer me, my world suddenly spans for a moment, and casually leaned on the wall.

It was because of his betrayal. I did not feel well because of his cheating.

‘Autumn…I’m sorry,’ Dominic said using our mind link. 

‘Sorry? I will accept your apology if you cut your chest open and give me your heart. I want your death, Dominic.’

He paled.

He did not know what I was capable of doing. All through my life, I had endured all their bullying of how I was a whore’s daughter. But now…I would no longer stay silent.  

‘We will be talking later, babe. I promise I will explain later.’

‘Explain? What for? So that you will add more lies? Thank you very much. Her kiss marks are enough evidence to know you are cheating on me.’

His gray eyes which looked like blue at first glance and changed now and then depending on lighting, the color of his clothing, and mood, still drew me in.

He could be imprisoned for having such beautiful eyes and a sexy body.

“Why are you here?” the woman asked. 

Lifting my gaze, I responded, “Alpha Leo ordered me to fetch his son. It’s because of the ceremony this evening. He needed Dominic and Alpha Percival will also be here.”

‘Alpha Percy is here?’ Dominic asked inside my head which I did not answer anyway. He was scared of his uncle. It had something to do with killing his favorite horse by accidentally shooting at it which also added to the conflict between the brothers.

Dominic was always bragging about how he got away with his crime without his uncle knowing it. 

“Dominic? That’s Alpha Dominic to you!” she sneered.

“That’s enough!” Dominic’s voice roared. “I’m still not an alpha, yet. The ceremony will be this evening.”

The woman looked at him in disbelief. “You raised my voice at me?” She looked like she was going to cry. What a sensitive bitch. “I am the beta’s daughter! How could you treat me like I am your slave?” the woman cried.

“You are starting a fight,” Dominic retorted.

She looked at me with disgust. “You are seriously siding with that whore?”

A muscle tick on Dominic’s neck. “She is not a whore. She is Autumn.”

‘Defending me in front of your slut will not change anything, Dominic. You hurt me.’

‘I’m sorry, babe. I truly am.’

‘Fuck you! If I did not see you two, you won’t be sorry at all?’ I screamed inside his head. 

He was silent. Good. Because that was what he should be doing.

“I don’t care! Dad will know of this. Alpha Leo will also know of this.”

“I don’t care. You can tell them that we just fucked and that you’re willing to dump your mate for me,” Dominic declared.

The woman’s face went bright red because of anger and left us two.

I scoffed and Dominic faced me. "Why does the alpha ask for my presence?" he asked. 

“What an asshole. You’re not even asking me to forgive you? You should be on your knees and asked for my forgiveness.”

“You won’t break up with me, babe. You loved me that much.”

I clenched my fist. “How sure are you? I, Autumn Clark, reject you Dominic Stefano as my mate.”

He was lost for words.
