04: Uncle

AUTUMN:

What. The. Fuck. 

My eyes bulged when Dominic kissed me in the dark. And instead of happiness, I felt an intense anger that I had only experienced for the first time now.

With all my might, I lifted my knee and made contact with his balls. His face twisted with pain,  automatically released me and kneeled in pain. 

“Babe?” he asked in a confused look as he looked up at me. 

My hands shook and wiped any remnants of his kisses on my lips and showed him my real feelings. 

“You repulsed me. Do you think a kiss will solve anything? You think a kiss will  wipe out everything of your cheating?”

“Babe, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to.”

“You mean it, Dominic. You mean it because you think I will always cling to you because I am only an omega and slave of this pack, right? You believed I would not leave you.” 

My eyes watered as images of our memories flashed in my mind. At least, we were happy back then. Dominic was not completely an asshole. He also took care of me. Secretly because he did not want others to know that his mate was an omega and slave. Now that I think about it, what was the difference between me and his whores? 

I had given my body to him. Wholeheartedly. And the next problem was, I had not gotten my period for two months now. I did not want to believe that I was pregnant, but it seemed that might be the case since I always had a regular period.

I was a hundred percent sure I was pregnant and Dominic would not know of this. He might use the baby against me or use the baby for his personal selfish reasons.

“Babe, I am so sorry. I mean it.”

With the pain gone, he was about to approach me, but I stepped back.

“How many times will I reject you, Dominic? I made myself clear already. You and I are done. Please don't follow me and go directly to Alpha Leo. He has been waiting for you since earlier. He might scold me or punish me if you don't see him.”

“Autumn…I truly regret what I did.”

I scoffed.

“Funny how you only said it now when I caught you. How many legs did you spread, Dominic? Did it not sink into your mind that you might hurt me in the process?”

The worst part was that he made a promise that we would marry after the proclamation. He will also announce to all his pack that he already found his Luna and that was me.

I was a fool for believing him. I was a fool for loving him. I was a fool for believing that he might change after asking for my forgiveness.

“It did not.”

My heart crumbled into tiny pieces.

“Well, there's no need to discuss anymore, Dominic. Let's pretend that this never happened, alright? Goodbye.”

I turned my back and I heard footsteps coming towards me.

“Another step and I will scream that you're trying to take advantage of me.”

“I would never do that. I don't rape anyone. You know that, babe.”

It was true, but my desperation to get away from him was another thing. 

“Let's end this once and for all.” You're also going to marry anyway.  And with a heavy heart, I walked away from him.

It was nighttime. From my room, I could hear the loud music in the grand hall. I presumed that the ceremony was done and now it was time to party. 

I grabbed my bag on the corner and locked the door softly. Now that I no longer have a mate, there was no point in staying in this pack. 

'Where would you go?’ my wolf asked. 

‘To the human world?’

'Pregnant? Can you take the risk?’

‘That’s not yet clear. I haven't used any pregnancy tests yet.’

‘I can feel the pup inside you.’

My heart skipped a bit. 

Wolves could feel if there was any baby inside my womb. 

I gritted my teeth as I made my way into the hall, somewhere quiet. Almost all of them went to the Grand Hall. 

 'You did not tell me anything.’

'You did not ask and you were blinded by your love for our mate.’

That was right. With Dominic, I never think of anything except the joy I felt around him. And now that I think of it, I was a fool for being so much in love, not leaving anything for myself. 

Look at what happened to me now. I was broken beyond repair and now I was carrying a child which I did not know if I could take care of well.  

'I don't want to believe that I am pregnant,’’ I insisted. 'I need to take my PT.’ If I was to be asked, I did not want to be pregnant. How could I raise an innocent child alone? I was technically almost a beggar with only a few dollars in my pocket. 

Leaving like a beggar was not the kind of life I wanted for my little one to have. 

'You will know I am telling the truth. You are carrying the alpha's child.’

Images of Dominic's cheating flashed inside my head. 

Raw anger swelled in. 

'This is my child alone. This is no longer his. I don't want my child to know what kind of asshole his father was.’

‘You admitted now that you are pregnant?’

'Shut up.’

My wolf whimpered. 

Scanning the surroundings, there was no one around. The music was in full blast which was in favor of me. No one would notice my absence. Not even Dominic or Alpha Leo. 

Seeing the coast was clear, I was about to run away when I hit a wall. Or at least I thought it was a wall when a pair of strong arms steadied me. 

“Are you okay?” a deep voice asked while his mouth was caging an unlit cigarette. 

A gasp escaped my lips when I realized who it was. Alpha Percival. Dominic's uncle.
