I turned around and waited for Elijah to walk up to me. Crossing my arms over my chest, I waited for him to continue.

Elijah let out a sigh.

"Can't we at least go sit down before we have this talk?" He asked as he looked down at me with soft eyes.

I could tell that Elijah really wanted to avoid this conversation. But I wanted to get it over with as soon as possible. So I kept my stance firm and continued to stare at him.

I watched as he let out another sigh before he nodded his head.

"Okay... Fine." He mumbled before he ran his fingers through the dark strands of his hair.

"Do you remember that pendant necklace you gave me?" He asked.

I had only given him one pendant necklace, so I had no problem nodding my head.
