21_Asking Alexa out

Alexa thought Derrick wanted to send her on an errand to maybe get him lunch, but to her surprise, he invited her to come into his office.

"You sent for me, sir," Alexa said as she stood elegantly in the presence of Derrick, who sat on his executive chair.

"Yes, I did. Have your seat." Derrick was still speaking to Alexa in a professional tone. He tried to soften his tone to be friendly with her.

Alexa was nervous. She sat face-to-face with Derrick. This was actually the first time that Derrick had asked her to sit in his presence.

"Well, Alexa. I want us to be friends. Are you okay with it?" Derrick proposed, not knowing if he said it right. He was nervous and really wished he wasn't the one asking Alexa to date him.

In the past, young girls were the ones flocking to be with him. But Derrick didn't entertain the girls around him. For some reason best known to him, he avoided close contact with women except the ones in his family.
