Cole’s POV

“I’m ranked bottom in school, I have no friends or anyone to support me whenever I’m being bullied by Melissa or someone else. Heck, I don’t even know who I am, I’m just here, floating around without any direction. I hope you now understand my dilemma about why I’m worried about everything.”

I fell silent. I hadn’t quite figured out this part of my plan, my earlier assumption was that she would have no objections when I finally decided to claim her to be my mate judging by her low standards.

Many girls who have been in the same spot that Shannon had been in would gladly accept my offer without asking questions about what the catch was or if it would come back to hurt them but Shannon was different, she was nothing like any of those people.

If I wanted to see this through, I better come up with a rather believable story immediately.
