The Mad Pact

Kira felt tears gather in her eyes, but she did whatever she could to hold them back. she had always known that Luna Amy had never liked her, but the fact that she was forcing the alpha to get rid of Kira over something so small just proves how much she disliked Kira. although she had never been treated well in the Blood Moon Pack, this was still the only home she knew. if the alpha were to send her out on her own she wouldn't know how to survive

"Please Alpha, I am sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen, it was an accident. please don't send me away " Kira pleaded pitifully. her pleading only made Luna Amy and Lucille angered

" the pack is already going through financial issues as it is. we don't need an extra mouth to feed especially one as dirty as hers. we have taken you in for many years and yet how have you repaid us? She is too dangerous to be among our Pack, you should send her away Alpha "

the truth was Kira had only been living with the Alpha and his wife for a year. she had been living alone all those years and had to fend for herself. Kira had taken care of herself all those years and hadn't had to depend on anybody. even now as she lives with them, the Alpha and Luna only provide her with food and shelter, she wasn't allowed new clothes or even the basic necessities, all those she had provided for herself. and yet Luna Amy was saying that she was a burden

she felt so sad that tears fell from her eyes. if only she had her family with her then she wouldn't have to go through all this trouble. the hopes and dreams she had of finding her mate were crashing before her. if the Alpha sent her away then she might never find her mate

" all right, I have heard all you have to say. take away Lucille and take care of her wound " Both Luna Amy and Lucille smiled in contentment. they knew that they had gotten their way and that Alpha Colin was going to send Kira away. Luna Amy helped Lucille up and together they walked out of the room in a good mood.

alpha Colin sighed when both his wife and daughter left. he looked at Kira who was still on the floor and felt nothing but pity for her. although he had wanted to keep her in the pack house and out of harm's Way, he knew that his Luna wouldn't stop until Kira had left. there was nothing he hated more than seeing his precious Luna so distressed. so at the end of the day he had no other option but to do as she had said

"Are you hurt Kira? " the alpha asked worriedly as he helped Kira to her feet.

," no alpha. " Kira let herself be helped up by alpha Colin. the man was gentle with her after what had just happened. but Kira still knew there was a high chance he was sending her away. he would never choose her before his family. Luna Amy was his mate for the longest and he would do whatever it took to make her happy. " please don't send me away Alpha. even if I don't live in the Pack House anymore, I don't want to leave the pack "

" I could never send you out of the pack Kira, not unless I know that you have somewhere to go. which is why I think it is best that you not remain in the pack anymore. there is somewhere safer out there for you to continue your life"

Kira stared up at the alpha in distrust. where was he possibly planning to send her? Was there a place where she could live a good life? She highly doubted it. no matter how bad her life here was, it was still better than being a rogue wolf.

" your father was a very good friend of mine, he was one of the strongest alphas in the entire Pack. even though he left you behind I know that he would want you to have a good life. but you can never have a good life here Kira. Even if you find your mate he would reject you, and that would just cause more of the pack members to bully you. I have responsibilities and so I can't care for you all the time. I have been thinking about this for a very long time, and I think the best option is to send you to the Mad Pact "

Kira had heard about the Mad Pact before. according to some, it was some prestigious school that only the best and most influential wolves were allowed in. There were a lot of rumors circulating about the Mad Pact, but none of those rumors could be proven true. The Mad Pact was very secretive and those who got in never came out to tell the story. Kira would question how alpha Colin had connections to the Mad Pact. the Blood Moon Pack wasn't as big and all-powerful as some of the other packs in the region.

alpha Colin must have sensed Kira's doubts, and he begins to explain his words more. " one of my good friends is a staff at the Mad Pact. although I don't know much about the school itself I know that it will be a better place for you than here. there at least you would be able to further your studies and hopefully make a life for yourself without the pack, I know that you have always wanted to go to college, this is the opportunity for you, Kira. I will not force you to go if you don't want to, but I ask that you at least consider it"

alpha Colin placed his hands on Kira's shoulder in a comforting gesture. he had come to care about her for over the last year she had been living with him and his family. he only wanted her to be safe and happy. and she would never find happiness if she remained in the pack that treated her inhumanly.

" you can tell me your decision by evening, " Alpha Colin told her before getting up and leaving. Kira was left alone in her thoughts. she was still hesitant to even consider what Alpha Colin had told her. She knew nothing about the Mad Pact or why it was even called that in the first place. no one was certain what this place was exactly, most just thought it was a school. a school for the rich and influential, Kira was none of those things. she couldn't even afford to clothe herself properly. what if the bullying there was even worse than the one she endured in the Blood Moon pact? but would that even matter, what if the mad pact wasn't even a school at all? what then?

but Alpha Colin had been right. the thing Kira desired most apart from meeting her Alpha was going to college. but there was no money to afford it. the only reason she had even gone to High School in the first place was that it was demanded in the Pack. but now here was an opportunity presented to her, even if she got bullied in school at least she would be able to finish college and find a decent job. She was very bright when it came to studying or in-school academics. She has no doubt she will be able to graduate with a good degree. She would be able to find herself a job and never have to rely on anyone ever again. Even if she never finds her soulmate as she had always dreamed, she would still be able to live a good life.

it was that day that Kira decided that she would listen to Alpha Colin and enroll in the Mad Pact. Kira had no idea that the decision she made would change her life forever. October the 16th marks the beginning of Kira's new life, the life she never knew she would have. A Life Among Alphas
