The Other Brother

Sebastian couldn't believe the events of the day even as he heard them from the lips of every alpha he passed. firstly, a young and pretty luna had been brought to the mad Pact. despite how crazy it sounded he knew that was true. because in his haste to catch up with his twin brother he had caught a glimpse of her black curls. he hadn't seen her clearly though, and winter had stolen his attention away before he could investigate further. apparently, his friend had managed to kill someone else this time and needed his help to bury the body. he could have said no of course, but he owed winter a lot of favors already.

it was the second part of the rumor however that he found too hard to believe. his brother, the unsympathetic devil himself had gone ahead and saved the luna, preventing her from getting raped to death. since when has Shane been so empathetic? there was once an occurrence where a female nurse was killed and then maimed. this had happened right in front of his brother's doorstep. it was rumored that Shane had even watched the event take place with blank eyes. he had done nothing to interfere, finding it too troublesome to even attempt to save the nurse's life. so how can someone like that possibly save another person? Although Shane might not have any interest in women sexually, because honestly, Sebastian had never seen him getting intimate with a woman since their childhood. and Shane didn't seem interested in men either, so he didn't know what to think of his brother's sexuality. so why had he saved this woman? pity maybe? can the devil even feel pity?

" let's just get to the bottom of this " Sebastian said to himself. he ran his fingers through his light brown curls. it was already evening time now and all classes had ended for the day. apart from wanting to satiate his Curiosity by visiting Shane, to see whether or not the rumors had been true, he also wanted to invite his brother to have dinner with him and his friends. their plan to sneak out of this hellhole had not been successful because of the arrival of the Luna. the security had tightened for some reason, maybe because the new student was a female. Sebastian had heard from other alphas that she was incredibly beautiful. not that he cared about beauty personally, because to him the only attractive thing about her was between her thighs.

Sebastian stops in front of the brown oak door that leads to his brother's room. he doesn't bother knocking before pushing the door open and walking inside. and to be honest he should have probably knocked because then he wouldn't have received the shock of his life." what the..."

the girl his brother was holding so intimately Snaps her eyes open in panic. she shuffles back violently while shoving Shane away, desperately reaching for any available clothing to cover her nakedness. Sebastian's eyes were nearly bulging out of his head in shock. his eyes were transfixed on the woman who his brother had just been making out with. although it was only for a couple of seconds, he had caught a glimpse of her body. just a single look had sent a wave of desire washing through him. everyone had said she was good-looking, but they forgot to mention that she looked like an absolute goddess. if he was in his wolf form currently he would probably salivate.

"Can you not knock?" Shane asked in obvious annoyance. Sebastian understood why he was so angry, if he had been the one to get interrupted in the middle of a make-out session then he would have probably ripped the person's throat out. but God was he glad he had interrupted. because he didn't think his brother deserves the goddess that stood in the middle of the room half-naked. someone as beautiful and perfect as that girl existed only to be with him.

"Well hello there beautiful. you must be the new luna everyone keeps talking about. I can see why though, you are absolutely gorgeous "

" Don't even think about it " Shane grips Sebastian by the collar and drags him to the sofa. " don't you ever think of touching her "

" oh right, but it's okay when you touch her right? I can't believe you had someone so pretty and you wanted to keep her to yourself. what happens to being twins and sharing everything in life? when did you become so gluttonous?" 

" she is not an object. we simply had a deal between us, I will protect her and she will give me something I want. it has nothing to do with you " Shane said.

Sebastian couldn't help but glance at the woman who had wrapped his brother's jacket around her naked body. she was watching them with her large honey-brown eyes, looking very innocent and delectable. Sebastian could feel warmth rushing through him, just a single gaze at her gave him such a reaction.

Kira was watching both brothers talk about her like she wasn't present in the same room. she could see by the clear resemblance that they must be twins. they look so identical that the only way she could tell them apart was by the color of their hair . she also noticed that while Shane looked stiff and cold, the other brother had a warm expression on his face. both were incredibly good-looking and seemed to have different personalities entirely. it was very interesting

" why don't you give her to me then? I will protect her more properly than you will. I know that you simply have no emotions for her and just want to get laid. but I feel a special connection towards her, I want her " Sebastian said earnestly. Shane simply gave him a look that suggested he didn't believe a single word he just said. both twins had grown up together and were very close. Although Sebastian was the oldest, Shane was the mature one. even before they had been sent to the mad pact, Shane had known that his brother had an unhealthy obsession with women. he was the sort of Alpha that will do anything to acquire whatever he wanted. Sebastian had bedded nearly all the female members in their pack, even the females who were already mated weren't left out. so of course Shane  didn't believe him when he said he felt a connection with Kira

"Why don't you ask her yourself? if she agrees to be with you then I am not going to stop you from taking her " Shane said while staring his brother directly in the eyes. Sebastian brightened visibly at his words. he immediately rose from his seat and approached Kira. she backed away in slight panic when she saw that he was walking towards her. Sebastian didn't proceed any further for fear of scaring her.

"It's okay, you don't have to be afraid of me darling, I'm not going to hurt you. in fact I am willing to help you. you can stay with me and I will protect you, more so than my brother can. what do you say?"

Sebastian flashed Kira a flirtatious grin. he was already so confident that Kira would accept his proposal, and why wouldn't she? he was obviously a lot more handsome than his twin brother. and Shane had just proposed Kira give her body in favour of protection. although Sebastian also felt aroused while looking at Kira's half naked body, he also felt that he had genuinely grown a crush on Kira. he was willing to protect her and work hard on gaining her affections if he had to. he wasn't like Shane who only wanted her for her body. Sebastian had always had a dream of one day finding his Luna. although he was a playboy by nature, he never had any affections for the women he slept with. he always thought that the one woman that could capture his heart was his destined mate. Everything had changed when he got sentenced to this hell hole. the chances of finding a woman to spend the rest of his life with became an impossibility. but maybe the moon goddess had given him a chance now. he felt a special connection with this luna, maybe if he had been in his wolf form he would have determined whether or not she was his destined mate.

Except Kira unfortunately didn't feel the same way towards Sebastian. she was feeling too conscience to trust anyone so easily, especially not after the Alpha she had trusted had demanded her to give her body in return for his protection. she was already dealing with a lot as it was, she didn't like the fact that the two brothers were talking about her like she was an object. she wasn't something to be given or taken away. " I am sorry, but I will have to refuse your offer. I am perfectly happy with the conditions I have with him"

" what?" Sebastian who hadn't expected to be rejected so easily was shocked. " I just offered to help you, I am not even asking for anything in return. so you are willing to stay with my brother and give your body to him in exchange for protection but not consider my offer? don't tell me you have fallen in love with him or something. just look at me properly, don't you think I am more good-looking than he is? and I can also Satisfy You Better in bed. come on, just think about it for a minute "

" she said she doesn't want to. just get out of here already" Shane dragged Sebastian away from Kira and shoved him towards the direction of the door.

" okay okay, but at least tell me which classes you will be having. it may turn out that we have the same classes, we can get to know each other better. Right Darling? "

" f*** off" Sebastian was kicked out of the apartment and Shane slammed the door heavily on his face. Shane turned back to look at kira who was still frozen in the same position. she turns her head away not wanting to meet his gaze directly. she now feels very embarrassed about their intimacy from earlier. " the bathroom is over there. go clean up while I go get your stuff. I will get your timetable along the way "

" T..Thank you "

" and don't think I am helping you for free either. everything I do now, you will have to pay me back later. got it?"

" Y..Yes"

Shane didn't say another word to her and simply turned to leave the room. when he was gone, Kira was finally left to her thoughts. she feels her legs go weak and she slides down to a sitting position while resting her back against the wall. she couldn't comprehend what had just happened. had she just sold herself to an Alpha?

she doesn't know how long she had been sitting there and drowning in her sorrow. Kira eventually pulls herself to her feet and heads towards the bathroom. she is greeted by white porcelain walls and marble flooring. once again she is reminded of how exquisite the mad pact truly was. even the bathrooms looked incredibly fancy and expensive.

Kira had never had the pleasure of enjoying a hot bath before. and the shampoos and lotions all smelt very nice, she spent a lot of time scenting each one of them. despite the madness of the day, Kira had to admit that this was the best bath she had ever had. she wrapped a towel around her chest and stepped out of the bathroom. she was surprised to see her bag which contained all her little belongings are the corner of the living room. and there was freshly made food which had been placed on the table. Shane was nowhere in sight.

Kira felt so hungry that she didn't even wait to get dressed first before digging into the food. it was the most delicious thing she had ever tasted, much better than the leftovers and scraps she used to feed on. was this truly so bad? obviously, her life in the mad pact could be much better if she had the needed protection. and that was exactly what Shane provided her.
