Girlfriend

it was the sound of ruffling fabric that had aroused Kira from her deep slumber. she hadn't even realized when exactly she had fallen asleep. but the comfortable bedding Beneath Her reminded Kira that she was sleeping on an actual bed this time, and not a bundle of clothing she had put together to serve that purpose

For Once in her life she found out she wasn't shivering from the late-night cold that usually kept her awake. she was wrapped up in a warm blanket, so warm that she was almost lulled back to sleep, but once again she felt a movement by her side. although the bed was a large one, it wasn't so spacious that she would not know when someone else was laying by her side. Kira's entire body was frozen in fear as she turned her head to the side. she was met with two eyes glowing fiercely in the dark.

" Shane?" Kira was forcing herself to not panic. she thought that perhaps the bed she was laying on was Shane's. Kira didn't expect Shane to sleep on the couch on her behalf. she was the one who had taken over his bed actually, and she felt grateful for him even offering it to her.

" Not Shane," a guttural voice said. the alpha raises an arm and reaches toward her. Kira screams out in panic, she fell out of the bed in her desperation to flee, whatever his intentions had been she didn't wait to find out. the lights were flicked on and the room was brightened up. kira's eyes were quick to adjust and she was able to make out the figure of the man on the bed.

" what the heck is going on here? "Shane who had been the one to turn on the light asked. he eyed Kira who was on the floor and then his roommate suspiciously. " Ashton, what did you do?"

" nothing at all. she panicked" 

" why are you here? didn't you say you would sleep out tonight? "

" I was planning to, but things didn't work out as expected " Ashton's golden eyes shifted to Kira. just like Shane, he was incredibly good-looking and had a pale complexion. he was a bit muscular and had red hair, Kira knew he must have dyed it that color. the bright hue brought out his sharp eyes more. Ashton looked a lot more monotonous than even Shane was. his eyes held curiosity but no emotion showed on his face. " who is she?'

" shouldn't you have asked that first before you got into bed with her? "Shane said with a snort. 

" it's my bed " Ashton spoke in a matter-of-fact tone. Shane ignores him and walks forward to pull Kira up to her feet. Kira felt surprised at just how effortlessly the alpha had lifted all her weight from the ground. she also felt embarrassed at the thought of not being able to pull herself together on time. Shane had been nothing but kind to her, she didn't want to cause him more trouble

" she is Kira, and from now henceforth she is my responsibility " Shane turns to leave the room after saying this. he pulled Kira close behind him and led her to his room. he went ahead to grab a blanket and some pillows. Kira reaches out to accept them thinking that he wanted her to go sleep in the living room. she didn't mind much because she had slept in the worst places before. but much to her surprise, Shane evaded her hands

" get to bed, "he said before walking out of the room and shutting the door behind him. Kira was stunned. Had he just given her his bed to sleep on? Kira felt incredibly touched by his kind gesture. no one has ever treated her so kindly before. although Shane acted cold on the outside he was such a good person. Kira made up her mind to repay the alpha at the earliest

Kira woke up very early the next morning. it wasn't a big deal for her to be up at such a time. she was already used to it back in the Blood Moon pack. Plus, she wanted to at least do something nice for the two alphas who had let her stay the night. Kira managed to clean up the living room and kitchen as quietly as she could. Shane was fast asleep on the couch, he looked even more handsome when he didn't have a scowl on his face.

Kira prepared a sumptuous breakfast with a few ingredients found in the fridge, she noted that both Alphas needed to go shopping soon. after making breakfast, Kira went to the bathroom to shower and get ready, She Wore a pair of dark jeans and hoodie. she didn't want to appear feminine after knowing that she was the only woman in the entire School

when she came back to the kitchen she found that Ashton was awake. he was eyeing the freshly made breakfast on the table with a blank expression. seeing that he was staring at the food for so long, Kira began to fear that maybe he didn't like the idea of her touching their stuff. she had only wanted to do something that shows she wasn't completely useless

" you cooked all this?" 

" Y...yes". 

the alpha stared at her silently. he seemed to be studying her and yet his expression looked bored. Kira felt uneasy. did she do something wrong? was she going to get kicked out for this? the thought of being alone out there scared her incredibly

" how much? "he finally spoke again after what seemed like several minutes

"What?"

" how much do you charge for the food?" Kira could only look on in confusion. not until Ashton pulled out his wallet from his pocket and took out several notes did she react

"No, I don't charge anything. I like to cook so I made breakfast today. I also wanted to thank you both  for letting me stay here "

Ashton hums. he doesn't question her further. he takes a seat on the table and starts digging into the food. Kira wasn't expecting a thank you from the alpha, she was just happy that he was enjoying the meal.

She goes to fetch a glass of water for herself. it was at this time that Shane walked into the kitchen. he had just cleaned up but hadn't gotten dressed yet. his messy blonde hair gave him a very sexy appearance. Kira could almost sigh in contentment at being surrounded by such  handsome alphas

" you ordered takeout? " Shane asked Ashton when he saw the food on the table

" your girlfriend cooked" Kira almost spit out her water at Ashton's reply. her face turns a bright shade of red as Shane turns to look at her.

" who asked you to do all this? "

" I...I just wanted to thank you for helping me yesterday "

" Hm, this doesn't change anything " Shane took the seat opposite Ashton "  You're still going to repay me "

" I know. I don't mind that ". 

" did you eat? " 

Kira opened her mouth to ask whether she could. back in the pack house, she wasn't allowed to eat until all the members of the family were satisfied. she only got scraps that were barely enough to keep her going. but she had gotten used to it. so the thought of eating today hadn't occurred to her. Kira shook her head

" Why didn't you?"

" you hadn't given me permission to do so" both Shane and Ashton stopped eating and gave her strange looks. Kira immediately spoke up to cover what she had said earlier. " can I join you now? "

" come take a seat then, girlfriend" Kira blushed at Shane's words and came to sit beside him.

" I got your timetable yesterday. your first classes are with Ashton here. he will look after you"

" I will try, "Ashton said with a shrug. he ignores the glare Shane sends his way. 

" you will be fine. Those Alphas know better than to touch what's mine " Shane spoke out between mouthfuls. he glanced at Kira from the corner of his eyes, smirking at how hard she was blushing
