First night as a married woman

Ayla's POV

Tears scattered in my eyes as I watched his back fade into the corners. “Can I do this? How long would I last if he continues to treat me like this?” I started to question myself as I was slowly losing my sanity, and it wasn't even a day yet.

Ayla Jacobs! Are you sure you can do this?

Tears streamed down my cheeks as I stared blankly at the wall, totally forgetting that I was in the hallway crumbled up by my feelings.

A light tap landed on my shoulder and I jolted out of impulse. “My lady, it's me, Moira.” Only then did my heart stop rising.

“You scared me.” I breathed.

“Are you okay? You look troubled.” She asked, concern laced in her tongue.

I sneaked my eyes to look at her, stylishly wiping off the tears. “Oh no, I mean yes. I'm perfectly okay. I just got some dirt in my eyes, but I will be good.” I lied. She didn't seem to have bought it, but she didn't ask me again.
