The demon within Darkous’ mind howled with laughter, “You apologized to Her?! Why in the fuck would you do that?”
“silence.” He growled in response to the demon. “I have my reasons.”
Rashly turning his attention away from the creature within him, he noticed that the girls jaw had dropped, her expression littered with confusion at his sudden kindness; and to be honest, the immortal Lord was also bewildered by his own actions. No longer knowing what to say to her, kindness wasn’t his strong suit, nor was apologising. But strangely he had meant it, he felt outraged that Michael would lay a hand on her for no reason, disgusted even that he wasn’t their to prevent it.
