“You are a murderer.” Michael snapped suddenly, “You should have fought sooner.”
The Princess gasped, a murderer? Is that because she had ran? Robert had told her to! He had insisted that she leave, sprint to safety. It wasn’t her fault. She was not to blame.
“You should have stopped them, we all know you have to power to.” He added, shaking his head as he rose back to his feet.
Tears formed in her eyes. “I only did as Robert commanded.”
“You should have saved him!” Michael screamed at her, quickly slapping her across the face.
Elika gasped again, clutching her cheek. “I couldn’t!” she cried.
Her uncles comrade struck her again, knocking her to the ground as she whimpered. She didn’t even know how to use her abilities, let alone anything about close combat, she had simply 'winged it’ her abilities had nothing to do with it. But what had he wanted
The demon within Darkous’ mind howled with laughter, “You apologized to Her?! Why in the fuck would you do that?”“silence.” He growled in response to the demon. “I have my reasons.”Rashly turning his attention away from the creature within him, he noticed that the girls jaw had dropped, her expression littered with confusion at his sudden kindness; and to be honest, the immortal Lord was also bewildered by his own actions. No longer knowing what to say to her, kindness wasn’t his strong suit, nor was apologising. But strangely he had meant it, he felt outraged that Michael would lay a hand on her for no reason, disgusted even that he wasn’t their to prevent it.“lift your jaw before I rip it off.” He growled once the silence began to bug him, his temper once again bettering him.“I’m sorry sir.” The girl whispered, recoiling at his tone.“Yes. I apologized f
The walk through the darkened halls was silent, neither of them had a word to say to each other; the echoing of servants voices the only sound in the entire mansion. But none dare to come up close to the Lord of hell, nor inform them of where Hades was. They reached the large door that lead to where the laboratory was within ten minutes, but that was not soon enough for Darkous, he hated when time was wasted waiting for the girl to keep up with his steps. She was useless, unable to hold up her own weight for long before her legs trembled.“Enter.” Was all they heard when Darkous knocked, neither one of them knowing what to expect when the door opened. The girl kept her eyes lowered, her frame perfectly still as the Lord of hell searched the room for his brother, noticing him hunched over a computer typing away. He smiled once more, his brother knew how to work humans technology better than anyone else that Darkous knew, but sometimes he feared his bro
Three of the men shifted their eyes toward her, clearly furious that she would be invading their battle training. The first one was the first to find his voice, his yellow-brown eyes alive with hatred and vengeance. “Why must we train with the enemies daughter? This does not make sense sir.”Michael smiled vilely, his eyes remaining on the young immortal princess as he spoke; his tone lightening in the promise of what was to come. “Because soldier, this will be your chance to take her down, to break her as often and as brutally as you wish. Does that not make sense to you?”“In that case sir, we are pleased that you brought her to us.” Another soldier uttered, laughing deeply as he turned to glance at her; overjoyed that he would get an ounce of revenge for the friends he had lost at the hands of her father. The princess took a step back, sheer terror coursing through her as all eyes landed on her slightly shaking form; her mi
“There, feeling better?” He questioned, a small smirk appearing at the corners of his mouth as he rose back to his feet; placing the small cloth back into his pocket. The young immortal princess nodded once, lightly cracking her aching bones as she closed her eyes, allowing the adrenalin to take effect. “Yes sir.”“Good. Now get out there and show us that you aren’t just a pretty face.” He commanded, carelessly dragging the girl back to her feet.Elika looked over at the mat, her shoulders deflating as she watched three more soldiers approach it, each one more than ready to cause her pain. She looked back up at Michael before slowly stumbling forward, barely having the strength to fight back, to stop the men from injuring her. Perhaps she should just let them get the anger and hate for her father off their chest, after all; this was not the first time that she had been brutally beaten and she was more than sure that it w
The young immortal princess winced slightly as Darren poured more of the burning liquid onto the deep wounds across her back, her fingers digging into the hard wood flooring as she stifled a cry; the large training room now empty of all soldiers. Michael stood to the side, watching as his comrade worked to stop the wounds on the girls back from continuing to bleed; his misty black eyes locked onto her features as they twisted in agony. He had cut their conversation short when she became increasingly dizzy; almost forgetting that the soldiers had tore open the back of her dress. She clenched her jaw shut when her uncles comrade applied a burning cream to the already delicate skin across her back, unable to prevent the small cry that burst through her lips. Taking a long breath, she squeezed her eyes shut, praying that it would not take much longer for Darren to finish, unsure if she could take any more of the agony.“Don’t worry pup, not long until I have finished.
“Come on, pup, I’m not waiting around for a limp.”Elika nodded, moving to stand beside Darren as Michael created a portal, limping on her injured leg as it burned in strain. She winced when she stopped, applying more pressure to the ankle than she had meant, worsening the pain.Michael ignored her pain as he turned towards his comrade, his voice once again becoming stern and unforgiving. “She has of yet seen nothing of the city, keep it that way. The portal will take you to your flat.”“Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don’t let her see the city, I get it. Now can we please go?” Darren huffed, his tone appearing uncaring as he glanced towards Michael; slowly beginning to lose his temper.“Yes, you can go, if you lose the attitude, this is serious and she is not just one of your whores. I will come and get her after I have finished training the soldiers.” Her uncles comrade snarled lightly, scowling at the medi
The unknown realm was layered with the enemy, a kingdom that no one had ever heard of, until now...Deep within a dark forest the psychopathic lord crouched low behind a tree, lying in wait for those who caused this, for the monsters that killed without purpose, without cause. He snarled, pushing himself to remain silent; almost predatory.Darkous had followed the trail that the dead men around his home had left, following it to a strange dimension, the land coated in thick forests and rivers, the lord barely finding any life within the new place. Yet, the demon within him urged him forward, promising that there would be vengeance, that he would kill those responsible for Roberts death. He crouched lower, watching and waiting as one would if they were about to pounce, ready to tear their enemy apart. Someone was close, moving in from all sides, he could sense them. Hear the beat of their heart as he turned his head to the side, the demonic creatur
Elika stood leant against the windowsill, staring out into the busy streets of hell, her mind racing as she watched people smiling as they walked; carefree as they continued with their day to day lives. She sighed contentedly, happily gazing down at the people her father sort to kill, but why was that his plan? These people didn’t seem evil at all, in fact they seemed quite the opposite. Caring and simple. So why did her father want to kill them all, rid the world of these innocent people? What had they done to him that was so bad? The princess closed her eyes briefly, wishing that the world was different somehow, that all the evil in the universe would just vanish and leave the people alone. Leave her alone. She knew that banishing the nasty and cruel would also mean her father, but the worlds would be better off without people like him.The city was larger than any Elika had ever seen, the building reaching high into the clouds, each one having what the princess
