He was here. Adorned in the same white overlapping shirt and black pants, as in all the encounters. All her senses were making it possible to even doubt his presence. They were on full alert. Aware of him and him alone. He gracefully walked towards her, cutting any distance between them. The beating of her heart increased and her hands felt clammy.

She tried to move but could not, for the life of her, perform the simple act. She felt numb yet alive. He made her feel more alive but she couldn't fathom how.

He stood right before her, all broad chested and manly. She realised he was too close for comfort and tried to look away. That was yet another failure. Her eyes could only focus on him. The blush that rose on her cheeks was inevitable, as her eyes remained glued on the expansive chest that was on full display.

He raised his hand. She half expected for the dream to end as it always did whenever he performed the act. However, this time around, the dream progressed. His hand came forward and cupped her cheek. Her heart was drumming underneath her chest and she knew that he could hear it.

He started leaning towards her. Her eyes widened as wide as they could go. Was he going to kiss her? She blinked repetitively as if to clear fog in her eyes which was causing her to see things. When she finally realised that he was not backing away, she did the first thing her innocent mind told her to.

She folded her lips into her mouth and shut her eyes tight. She felt his breath on her face as if urging her to open her eyes but she would not succumb to his tricks.

"Open them."

Her eyes flew open in shock. He never talked before. She gasped when she saw the silver orbs that were right in her face. Their noses were almost touching. He stared at her like she was his last breath. Like she was his.

The barest hint of a smile appeared on his face, before he bent down. Except, what she had expected to be a touching of their lips wasn’t what he had in mind. His nose rubbed against her smooth neck and she heard him sniff. A sound of pure satisfaction exited from his velvety like voice. She felt his hot breath tease the skin behind her ear while her body remained paralysed before him, like a lamb being sacrificed.

A slow, sharp pain seared through her skin. Something that reminded her of two injections being pierced into the surface of her skin at the same time if that was ever medically possible.

However the pain vanished as Kara woke up with a start and winced when she'd pulled on her cuffed hands. Wretched cuffs.

She felt the blood rushing through her veins and it wasn't because of the pain in her wrists. It was because of him. The man who had been the subject of her dream for the past few weeks. When he'd first appeared, she had felt conflicted. How could it be that a dream held such vividness.

At first the same dream had come randomly and sparingly on particular days. Then a few weeks prior and up to the present, the dream became more incessant. She had dreamt of this mystery man like he was the only person or thing that her mind could conjure up and dream about.

This time around, something was majorly different. In all the other dreams it was like he could never really bring himself to touch or communicate with her. He would only raise his hand and she would wake up panting and feeling like she had run a mile.

This time, he had touched her and she had more than glimpsed his eyes. The shade of them was ethereal; a very sharp, bright silver that appeared somewhat gloomy. She had stared into those silver eyes. A very rare yet beautiful pair. What had he done to her, she wondered with a frown. He had not kissed her, but bitten her instead. Did that hold as much significance to him as a kiss?

Kara shook her head at the trajectory of her thoughts. To think she was thinking of the man in her dreams, a mere figment of her imagination that could only appear while she slept, like he was real was alone crazy.

Given, she had always felt the need to share this with someone. To ask anyone if it was normal to have the same dream over and over again for weeks on end. For them to always border around the same person. But again, Kara was not one to trust easily and she didn't want to have to go through the possibility of knowing that it was indeed abnormal.

Besides, just the thought of saying out the highly charged details of her dream only managed to leave her even more exasperated. The details were far too graphically intimate, she didn't think that she could share that with anyone.

His voice.

Her mind finally registered how huskily deep that voice had been, so much so, that she couldn't control the shivers that ran down her spine. She shut her eyes very tightly and willed her mind to conjure up images of her books, her mother, ice cream. Anything to get her mind off the man who was making her question her sanity.

It was eerily quiet and very dark. She opened her eyes, looked up and cursed up at the giant sparkling chandelier. She wished now more than ever, that it could miraculously turn on and shed its light into the room.

Suddenly, she felt the drop in temperature. One moment, she had woken up feeling very hot and needing a surge of fresh air. The next she wanted to curl into a ball, in need of warmth.

Her teeth started chattering. She looked around in haste, feeling tears of frustration finally building up in her eyes. She was shaking so violently, it was like she had no control over own body.

As if that wasn't enough, a cloudy mist started forming all around her. She curled closer to the pole in desperation. The mist was slowly approaching her, causing her heart to shoot up a drumming rhythm. This time, nothing to do with the subject of her dreams. It became hard to breath. She was hyperventilating and there was absolutely nothing that could reassure her of her fear.

Black dots started forming in her line of vision. She fought hard to breath, to stop the river of tears that were already flowing down her cheeks but the more persistent she was, the futher she fell into the abyss of unconsciousness.

Right before she lost the little thread of consciousness she had left, she heard the light, unhurried approach of feet.
