The large bedroom was filled with a rosy scent that emanated from the dozens of rose petals that covered the floor. Expensive furniture covered the spacious room, intricate art sat on the walls. One that stood out from the rest was a huge painting of a man and a woman.
At first glance, it was easy to stare, for both their looks were equally breathtaking. The woman that sat on the settee had smooth, pale skin and wore emerald jewellery that sat contrasting her pale, fair complexion beautifully so. She was wrapped up in a stunning ball gown of red that fell off her shoulders, allowing the right amount of her breasts over it’s bodice. The dress tapered inwards at the small of her waist, before falling down around her hips. Her face was most striking, with soft features and a delicately small mouth that had a naturally rosy colour. Her eyes, sharp and the colour of her jewellery, had an underlying intelligence to them. A calmness that made her graceful and regal, especially with her soft blonde dresses tied into an elegant chignon. The man that stood behind the settee, was fetching in a black coat, a waistcoat and breeches. He was tall, a lazy smile stretching over his face. His features were hard, his gaze like that of a hawk; sharp, missing nothing. His eyes were shadowed by two straight black brows and had lashes that were terribly long for a man. His jaw was sharp, and a moustache sat below his sharp nose. The two made a most-dashing sight, their love for each other unmistakably clear in their gazes.A large and strong four poster bed took up most of the victorian room. Heavy drapes covered the posters from corner to corner, making for an intimate scene. The softest, most expensive, smooth silk sheets of a deep shade of red barely covered the occupants who laid on the bed skin to skin in twisted limbs, utterly sated after one of their incessant heated sessions of love-making.The woman laid her head on his bare chest and drew circles on his hard stomach. “We need to stop doing this,” she murmured reluctantly. The man smiled and draped his hand over her naked body. “You don’t sound very convincing, my love.”“That’s because I can’t get enough of you, my Lord. It is most obvious that I have been corrupted by you.”“In as much as I find your innocence endearing, I was counting on my sinful ways to finally corrupt you,” he drawled, skilfully drawing her beneath him. “As a matter fact, I’m feeling very sinful right now.”She swatted his bicep playfully, a giggle exiting her lips. “Oh, stop it!” She exclaimed, her hair spread around her head like paint splattered over a canvas. The man kissed her then settled back on the bed, easily gathering her into his arms again. A pleasant silence followed, the couple drowning in the moment.“I love…” the profession of his undying love for her was never heard as the words never exited his mouth. Suddenly, the woman was violently torn from from his arms and the room seemed to stretch out until she was a good distance away from him. Blood gushed down her legs. He called out her name, the only thing he could do because his entire body had been frozen, completely still as if a force was holding him in place. She looked at him as her tears slowly turned crimson and she cupped her abdomen protectively; her eyes telling of a secret that she hadn’t whispered to him yet.His heart broke as she collapsed and he couldn’t even touch her and soothe her pain away. His voice disappeared and his screams blended with the silence and the darkness. The darkness pulled him in and oddly, he welcomed it and allowed it to consume him. Except, it didn’t fully consume him. It became a part of him and he thrived on it. He became it’s master; the prince of darkness.OneKara swore that she was going to kill her friends once she found a way out. She twisted and turned her small wrists in the hopes that her hands would somehow manoeuvre out of the cuffs. She tried stepping a foot on the pole around which her hands were cuffed, and pulled with all her might. The scene was all on it's own hilarious and undoubtedly a failure seeing as how the high heeled shoes she was currently sporting, were putting her at a major disadvantage. She winced and finally realised that her wrists were paying the price for her so-called attempts at freeing herself. She sighed, a sigh that was laced with frustration and defeat. Looking around, she saw how isolated the building truly was. Everything was eerily still and the pin drop silence was not exactly comforting, so to speak. She disliked silence. To her, it was like that one moment before a storm. This is what happens when your friends seem to find humour where there is no room for any, she thought begrudgingly. She co
The sun was setting and the little light that had been seeping through the heavy looking velvety curtains that fell down the large windows, was slowly fading. The entire room looked like it belonged in the Victorian era. Every intricate design and embroidery. Either the owner had a rather strong interest in the fashions of the past or this was just an abandoned building. An abandoned building wouldn't be this spotless though. Now that she really paid attention, the room was rather odd, for lack of a better word. It was a spacious room that basically had nothing in it. Except for the curtains which were embroidered with silky cloths that ran down the edges, the twinkling chandelier and the wretched pole, around which her hands were cuffed, which stood right in centre of the room. However even though the room was empty, she could see the expensiveness in the room and of the room. Another detail which served to worry her even more. What if they all were trespassing and she got in trou
ThreeHe was here. Adorned in the same white overlapping shirt and black pants, as in all the encounters. All her senses were making it possible to even doubt his presence. They were on full alert. Aware of him and him alone. He gracefully walked towards her, cutting any distance between them. The beating of her heart increased and her hands felt clammy. She tried to move but could not, for the life of her, perform the simple act. She felt numb yet alive. He made her feel more alive but she couldn't fathom how. He stood right before her, all broad chested and manly. She realised he was too close for comfort and tried to look away. That was yet another failure. Her eyes could only focus on him. The blush that rose on her cheeks was inevitable, as her eyes remained glued on the expansive chest that was on full display. He raised his hand. She half expected for the dream to end as it always did whenever he performed the act. However, this time around, the dream progressed. His hand came
"Your majesty, if I may?" Ryka spoke diplomatically, bowing his head to show his reverence. "I don't think it wise for you to play right into the humans' hands. They might not be wise, but their intentions are unscrupulous."Ryka, the vampire warrior raised his head, revealing a pair of emerald eyes that looked utterly misplaced on his hardened face. He had shoulder-length hair and was big-framed, a man that was always out for blood, pun unintended. He was considered a beast by many due to his big size, his straight mouth which rarely ever stretched to form a smile and his hawk-like gaze that never missed much. The Vampire King, Carlisle, was a being that could not easily be understood. At six feet plus two inches, he towered over a lot of vampires and people alike. The composition of his face was designed for raw sin. He was almost ethereal, his looks gaining him much attention wherever he went. Carlisle walked down the stairs with his eyes closed, his fingers trailing the gold encased rails with every step he took. He didn’t exactly need his excellent vision to guide him through the mansion. He knew it like the back of his palm. It had been his home for the longest time. The word home felt like a bucket of ice had been deposited over him, causing him to pull his long fingers off the rails. He couldn’t possibly imagine or think of this place as home now. Not when the woman he had wanted to spend the rest of his life with had breathed her last inside one of its very rooms. He placed his hand over his heart, finding it beating so very slightly; a constant reminder of the creature that he had become. He buried his dark thoughts on the back of his mind as he opened his eyes and focused on the matter at hand. Someone was in the house. In all the times that he ventured on his 13th year excursion, he came unaccompanied. He cherished the freedom that came along with having no prot

She was floating on invisible clouds. She had to be. That was the only description that sufficed in that moment. How else was she supposed to explain how her body, as she knew it, had developed a mind of its own. The feelings that were oozing out of her were as foreign as Italian to her. And nothing in that moment made sense. The object of her dreams was back —more vivid than ever. Against her will. An uninvited guest to her own mind; her safe space. He wore the same clothes as he always had on when her mind conjured him up—a pristine white shirt and black pants. For the first time, she noticed his hair; a long mane of blonde that seemed to blow behind him by a spell of wind that she couldn't feel herself. She noticed the sheer power of him, the confidence in every step he took forward, the determination in his eyes as he continued to stare right at her. He looked almost ethereal, for she had never seen one such as he before. He was everything she pictured as the ideal sexy man in
Something was not quite right. Very few things could hold his interest anymore, having lived so long on earth. He had seen the world constantly change and mostly for the better if he said so. He would forever despise the dark days when slavery had seized the world with it’s prickly hand. The unfairness and savagery of races against each other had been heartbreaking to see. Unexplainable and utterly disgusting. And his people were not completely innocent parties either. They had also like the human white supremacists taken advantage of the imbalance and rampaged the earth, uncontrollable in all their power and greed for blood. Feeding had been done mostly to gain vampires and human feeders had no say over the entire ordeal. It went without saying that humans had suffered under the governance of their own selfish leaders as well as his own kind. Which was why he was such a big advocate for peace and was still working to bring more numbers of his kind into shouldering his cause. With v
