Bonus Chapter~ 7

I walked into the store and a small bell noise went off just once. Not a lot of people were there so I walked right up to the counter. “Hi, um, can I use your phone for a quick second?” I asked the guy standing behind the counter.

He was a young guy and was chewing gum nonchalantly. “Uh, sure. Who do you want to call? A friend?” He asked as he handed me his phone.

“No. 911.” I forced a smile and then dialed the numbers on the phone. The guy cleared his throat awkwardly and went back to doing what he was doing before I interrupted him: typing on the cash register.

In about a few seconds, someone answered. “911, what’s your emergency?”

I gulped nervously before speaking. “Yeah, a guy is about a few kilometers out of Beacon. He was hit by a car and is injured pretty badly. He needs help as soon as possible. Please”

“Okay, ma’am. Help is being sent at the location as we speak. Are you with the injured individual? And is he conscious?”
