In another message, Colbie said, "I told you to come to the hospital, but you refused. I'll let you in on a secret—Nina's a month pregnant.

"You mentioned that she needed you to pay for her condoms, right? It's good you canceled the order. We wouldn't have had such gossip if you didn't."

Her last message was from an hour ago. I was now sure she'd stayed up the whole night. In the past, I would've felt horrible after hearing the things she'd shared with me. Now, however, I felt relieved upon learning Nina was pregnant. It would probably help expedite the divorce.
