"Why are you so scared, Andy? It's already been three years." Nina laughed hysterically. "You don't know about this, Rose, but Andrew orchestrated that fire. He wanted to trick you into saving him from there.

"The fire was raging, but we'd already escaped from a secret path. I don't think any of us expected you to just run in there without anything to defend yourself.

"It's good that you were knocked unconscious. Who knows whether you would've made it out alive once you got deeper and realized there wasn't anyone inside?"

Nina's words made my blood freeze. It explained why Andrew kept telling me not to pursue the matter after I was saved from the fire and brought to the hospital. This was the complete truth.

I thought he'd merely fallen out of love with me, but it looked like his original intention had been to kill me.
