The glittering light of the nearby VIP pub covered the whole street. It was a beautiful sight, watching the shadows of people entering into the pub.

She also walked in, with her purse held in hand.

Her beauty was one no man in the room could deny. Her big eyes like that of the bright stars, it was sparkling in the dim light. She just smiled and found a sit.

The hip hop sound escaping from the big speakers were nice ones, giving rhythms to the ear, women had their men in hand with a no-one-dares-come-closer look to the other single ladies and Anna wasn’t excluded.

She turned to the bar man. “I need a glass of white wine,” she shouted trying to over take the music but failed.

The bar man nodded and walked away.

Anna was busy fiddling with her dark hair, she had added a darker color to it, changing it from blond to black, a tradition of every four months.

The corners of her eyes were focused on the numerous couples who had something to show for having their lovers by their side. She could remember coming to this pub with Finn and they were like the best couples In town, things change so easily.

“Thinking about something Ms. McLain, oh sorry Anna?”

She knew that thick voice, it was her nightmare, John Sergio. He had an evil smirk worn to his face, dressed in an expensive suit, waving at a slut looking woman in black.

“Nothing John,” she gave a low reply, collecting the drink from the bar man.

His thick voice came again. “You look so beautiful, nice hair.” John placed his fingers on the tip of her hair.

Anna threw them off. You son of a bitch!

“Oh I almost forgot, you fight against molestation,” he laughed. “And you believe in justice. Nice one Anna.”

She felt like kicking him between his thighs. Like squeezing out the long object he used in defiling young ladies and ruining their future.

“And I’m sorry about your wedding,” he placed his tongue behind his teeth and made a pitiful sound.

Anna couldn’t take it anymore, she turned to him and clenched her fist. “What do you want John?”

“Hey easy, you might just get yourself hurt again,” the handsome looking man gave a wry. “I want you, Anna McLain, to stop publishing news about my personal life.”

She closed an eye. “What about your personal life? The fact that you sexually molested your worker?”

“You have no proof Anna, I could sue you.”

“The government didn’t complain about it, the broadcasting teams didn’t. What makes you think I would put an end to what you started?” She watched him keep mute. “I don’t care who you are or what you are. I’m Anna McLain and I’m ready for you.”

John scoffed as he felt the rage in the tense environment, listening to the hip hop beat by the Disk Jockey. “You don’t know me Anna, I’ll visit you again.”

“Oh you are a handsome looking freak who sexually molest young girls by wooing them just for a job,” she said loudly drawing the attention of everyone, like the speakers weren’t functioning anymore.

John looked embarrassed as he moved closer to her making her stand on her feet. “You don’t know what I’m capable of Anna, you don’t know. I’m the person you wouldn’t mess with. I am John Sergio.”

She put her hands together and began to clap, laughing also. “Oh nice. Well, John Sergio, I already told you, I won’t take anything down and you will rot behind bars, in jail.”

Anna didn’t know what gave her the courage to say all that, but anything that did, was the best thing she had ever felt.

“You will regret this.”

“I’m already regretting seeing your disgusting face and you’ll definitely be so surprised when I beat you at your evil games.”

John bit his tongue and smiled. His eyes were already red and he tried not to look at the eyes staring so curiously.

“So John, prepare a suitable room in jail, with your sluts to warm up your bed because you won’t last a free man for long,” she turned to the people in the pub, “ and they’ll give testimonies.”

The people made different murmurs, some were smiling, while some, frowning.

Embarrassed John said. “I…I will deal with you Anna.” He frowned and walked out of the pub with rage.

Anna couldn’t stop smiling as she grabbed her purse from the counter and walked out, crossing the street into her Lexus Jeep.

It was warm in there, she opened her purse and collected her phone, scrolling through her pics with Finn, they looked so beautiful together, with his blond hair on hers.

That night after they had slept together in bed, he had promised her to always make her happy but now she felt shattered as ever.

A young lady with a lot of wealth shouldn’t be expecting true love, right?

The vibration of her phone brought her back to life as she looked down to see Paul’s name on the screen. “Paul?” she punched the green button and placed it on her ear.

“Hello Anna.”

“Paul what’s up?” she asked curiously. Inserting the key into it’s hole and starting the engine.

“You’ve got to see this. I’m at Finn's house at the moment.”

“What’s that?”

“I can’t say this over the phone, you need to see things yourself.”

“Alright, I’ll be there In a few minutes time. Thanks,” she hung up and looked out of the window. “I hope he found something.”
