Tough-Brick

A low, pathetic cry escaped Paige's lips as these crazy thoughts and memories kept messing with her head. She attempted screaming but the sounds were muffled by the duct tape.

Seeing that there was nothing she could do, frustrated tears burned her eyes. There was just one of her and two of them.

There was no way out of this for her. Except, maybe when the van stops. Maybe I could possibly make a run for it. She thought.

Dance had at least given her some stamina and she somehow doubted her kidnappers were the type that would spend endless hours at the gym.

If she were to run, she wouldn't have to run far. Just far enough to get close to people, to get to a store, or anywhere that someone might help her. No one was going to stand by and let a bound and gagged woman get dragged off by kidnappers. People were better than that.

But the only problem now would be time. It was past midnight when she came downstairs from the Salton hotel and she didn't know how long the journey with her kid
