Chapter 97

" Why have youu been blowing up my phone?" Alpha Damien asked when he finally picked Daniel's call.

" I'm sorry, sir. I was worried when nobody saw you since morning." Daniel replied, and frowned right after. Damien sounded drunk.

" Hello?" There was a pause on the other side of the phone.

" Hello?" Daniel tried again, there was still no response.

" I will be back soon." Damien replied and hung up.

" What did he say, where is he?" Jen asked.

Daniel scrunched his forehead, and thought about where Alpha Damien could be.

" I don't know."

Jen was confused, " What do you mean by you don't know?" She asked.

" What it means, he told me that he would return soon."

" I don't feel too good about this." Jen complained.

" Same here, but he could be making plans and we are just being paranoid." H replied. He intentionally skipped the fact that he suspected that the Alpha was drunk because she was going to blow a gasket. She was going to delve into full blown worry.
