Chapter 106

A hard crack of palm connected with Zeta's cheek making her jump wide awake in fright. Her vision blurred as she slowly regained consciousness. She was shocked to see herself in cuffs and an unfamiliar house.

She saw Belinda's annoying face and groaned as she remembered how she was taken.

_Three hours later after Damien left, the doorbell rang and Zeta rushed to the front door, and opened it instantly. It was eerily quiet except for the slight whooshing from the early evening breeze and the soft rustling of leaves in the garden. Her maid was also nowhere in sight. She stepped outside with the thought that Damien was probably playing a prank on her which was her mistake. After standing for two minutes, she turned to go into the house when she heard an unusual rustling of leaves. This time, it sounded like someone was crushing dried leaves. The hair on her nape rose, and her skin broke out in goosebumps._

_She turned and a plank was delivered to her head, causing her to go out like lig
