Chapter 60

Zeta's pov

"Help! Somebody, help!" I screamed coughing harshly.

The intense heat made it difficult to see or think clearly. The smoke billowed around me, choking my lungs and stinging my eyes. I felt trapped the flames closing in on me with every passing second.

I searched for any means of escape.

I spotted a nearby window, but it was covered with thick metal bars, preventing me from breaking free. I pounded on the window, hoping someone would hear the sound and come to my rescue. But still, there was no response.

The fire continued to rage, devouring everything in its path, I felt my strength waning. Coughing and gasping for breath, I collapsed to the floor, tears streaming down my face. I couldn't believe this was how it would end trapped, helpless, and alone.

A distant sound caught my attention. Footsteps. Faint, but growing closer. My heart surged with renewed hope as I realized that help might finally be on its way.
