I thought he didn't remember me. Was he pretending? I really can't talk to him now.

"Talk about what?" I asked him, turning to face him and creating some distance between us.

"Don't tell me you've already forgotten we got married when you thought you were auditioning," he said, glaring at me with a clenched jaw.

I know you, and I'm just trying to avoid this awkward conversation right now. "Oh, I had forgotten about that," I flashed him a nervous smile.

He narrowed his eyes at me as he towered over me, "Well, I'm glad you remember. We need to talk," he said in a stern tone.

"About what?" he looked at me like I was crazy.

"We should talk about, I don't know, when we are going for our photoshoot,"

I rolled my eyes. "Okay, okay, I get it. So please don't bother with your sarcastic comments. Can I go now?"

He sighed and put his hands in his pockets. "I just told you we need to talk."

"We can always talk later, but not today. Please, I have to go to my friends," I told him before I left him and made my way back to the event.

I placed my hand on my chest, trying to calm myself down. As soon as I got inside, I straightened my dress as I searched for the girls. I was able to spot them.

"Where did you go? We were looking for you," Charlotte said, but I knew she was lying. Charlotte would never be genuinely worried about me.

"Forget about it. I'm here now, aren't I?" I played with my fingers as they continued talking.

"Well, I'm glad you are here. I just spoke to my dad, and he agreed," Charlotte said, clasping her hands together. "Girls, we are going to Miami this weekend, you know, just to relax and all that. Isn't that exciting, Alexandria?" They all turned and looked at me. Oh, I know exactly what you are trying to do, Charlotte.

"Yeah, it is. I can't wait," I smiled at her.

Emily dropped me off at home. I took off my shoes. I'm tired, exhausted would be the right word. I was planning to head straight to my room, but my loving family was in the living room.

"And where were you, young lady?" My mother placed her hands on her hips as she looked at me.

"I was with the girls," I told her as I headed to my room.

"Mom, did you see Alexander? He's so handsome, I like him."

"Kate, you already have Ryan in your life."

"I know," she whined. "But who says I can't have Alexander? Dad, you should invite him over for dinner sometime."

"I will see what I can do, princess."

Oh come on, Charlotte, first you took my boyfriend, and now you are after my supposed husband. I rolled my eyes as I headed to my room. I opened the door and switched on the light, the sweet comforting place. I changed into my pajamas and drifted off to sleep.

"Ria, wake up! You are going to be late," Emily yelled. I shot up from my bed. I can't afford to be late. I have been anxiously waiting for this day, and I won't let anything ruin it for me. I got out of bed and headed to my bathroom.

I came out of the bathroom and found Maria seated, and a tray of food beside her. I shook my head with a smile and walked into my closet. I put on some comfortable clothes, came out of the closet, and sat next to Maria, who insisted on feeding me.

"Maria, I'm going to miss you." I hugged her for the seventh time today, and I'm surprised she's not getting tired of it.

"I will miss you too, Alexandria, and remember to take care of yourself and eat on time. Most importantly, stay out of trouble."

I smiled, my eyes filled with tears. If only she was my mother.

"What's going on here?" Mrs. Williams stood there in a black strapless dress, her jet black hair in a neat bun. She never misses a chance to look beautiful.

"Mrs. Williams, I am going out with my friends for a few days."

She glanced at Maria and at me. "Just go, but stay out of trouble. I have a lot on my plate, and I don't need you giving me more problems."

I stretched my body as we got off the jet. Finally, we've arrived in Miami. The girls were so excited to come here. I just hope they don't do anything foolish due to their excitement.

We were going to be staying at Charlotte's beach house. Once we got there, she showed us the rooms we were going to be sleeping in. I threw myself on the bed once Charlotte left the room. She might hate me or whatever it is, but I'm just happy that she got me out of that place.

"Alexandria, wake up!" she yelled. I covered my head with a pillow.

"Go away," I mumbled.

"We are going to be late, Ria. Don't make me come back. I don't think you will love what will happen next."

I threw the pillow off my head and got up. I rubbed my eyes and checked the time, which was 6.30 pm. Oh, shit, I have thirty minutes to prepare myself.

I quickly took a shower. Luckily, I found an outfit on my bed. I won't have to stress about that. I did my hair, did my makeup, and put on my outfit. Once I was done, I got my clutch and left the room.

Well, I don't know much about where we are going, but we were invited to a certain event. I don't really care as long as I'm not home, bored.

"Wow, this place looks nice," Emily said as she got two glasses of champagne and gave one to me.

"Hey, Alexandria. Didn't know you made it," she looked at me with a smirk on her face.

"Charlotte, you look beautiful tonight."

"I know, thanks for reminding me." I rolled my eyes and walked away from her.

I was heading towards the bathroom when all of a sudden, someone grabbed my hand, dragging me away from the event.

"Hey, let go of my hand!" I yelled, trying to get my hand out of his tight grip.

"I won't let go of your hand, Mrs. Romano." Oh shit, why didn't anyone tell me that he would be here?

"Why are you after me? Just leave me alone."

He stood and turned to me with a smile on his face. "We are going to meet my parents, Mrs. Romano. So, tell me why I should let go of your hand."

I looked at him in shock. What the...? I can't meet his parents. I'm not ready to talk about our complicated marriage, and now he's taking me to his parents without my concern.

"Are you crazy? You just can't take me with you to meet your parents!" I yelled as I tried to release my hand from his tight grip."Don't make a scene, okay? Let's leave from here," he said in a casual tone, like it wasn't a big deal. But it was to me. Is he crazy or something?"Or what? Look, I don't care if you are Alexander Romano, but I am not going anywhere with you, and I mean it. So just leave me alone."He let go of my hand and looked at his car. "Are you sure that you are not going anywhere?""I'm sure, Mr. Romano. You know what? I will go back inside," I said firmly, and he nodded. I narrowed my eyes and turned as I made my way back inside. Something is fishy; why didn't he grab my hand or stop me? He just let me go like that. Anyway, I don't care as long as I don't get to meet his parents.Once I got inside, I joined the girls who were busy making plans for tomorrow. "What am I going to do, and why are my parents here?" My legs were frozen in place. I don't know what I'm going to do. I'll just make up an excuse and leave from here. It should be better that way.I have to leave from here before they see me. Until I heard my sister's voice, my legs seemed to have a mind of their own as they stayed rooted in their place."Alexander, it's so nice to meet you. I can't believe you are right in front of me," she said in her annoying, high-pitched voice. He just gave her a slight nod and didn't say a word to her. Not that I'm jealous, it's far from that, just happy that he didn't give her the attention he wanted."I'm glad you're here, Mr. Williams. You are just in time to meet my son's beautiful wife," Mr. Romano said in a confident voice. I leaned against the wall, trying to figure out what to do.
