My hands quickly got soaked in red as my dagger struck home.
His dick.
Where all rapists deserve to be stabbed in.
I wish I had the time to stuff it in his mouth but the guards will be here soon after hearing him scream.
Looking at his squirming form on the ground for a few satisfying seconds, I picked up my bag and ran. A vibrating sound went through my jean pocket and I brought out the object.
“Meet me at the river Arno, it will wash off your scent and lay them off.” A voice filtered in through the phone I had stolen.
I didn't know who it was but I cut off the call without responding and continued towards the East where the river was located. At this stage, I might die before getting caught. Amongst all things I could possibly forget, I forgot my inhaler!
With the wheezing sound of my breathing getting louder and louder, I was still about fifty away from the river. Just then, a sharp pain sliced past my ear.
A bullet.
They were armed.
I looked back to see numerous shadows of men in dark suits and a few others in their half wolf forms chasing after me.
“I'm fucked. I'm so fucked.” I muttered, entering into the forest to have the obstacles of the trees shielding me.
“Go, go, go!” My wolf all but screamed in my head. If I had a gun, I might just consider putting a bullet through her mouth so she could just shut up!
My frantic eyes were now going blurry as I neared.
‘'You’re almost there…almost there…”
“Arrrrgh!” A sharp pain in my side, a groan, followed by a loud splash. And soon I was struggling to breathe underwater.
So this is how I die? Well, I guess they weren't wrong when they said ‘kill and be killed'. Karma's a bitch.
I closed my eyes peacefully, accepting my end as breath left my tired lungs. I imagined with a smile that I was on the drowning titanic ship as I sank deeper and deeper, cold and darkness claiming me.
—----
I had a dream that I was seven and drowning. My father had dived in to save me, but now instead of his face, a strange person stared back at me as he pulled me out.
I went into a coughing fit the moment I emerged from the water… and from my sleep.
“Here you go madam.” A soft voice piped up from my side. It was a cute girl who appeared to be 2 years younger than I was.
Her hands held out a steamy cup of green tea. I was unable to move my hands so I did the most sensible thing I could think of by leaning in to take a sip from the cup in her hand before I inched back, licking my scorched lips and looking from her shocked face to my bandaged right arm.
“So I survived, huh?” I thought with a snicker.
“Yes ma'am. Our master had saved you.” The maid responded with a small smile, gently settling the cup down on a table. I had no idea I had said that out loud.
“Well, tell him I said thanks.” I said while yawning and taking a good look at all the extravagance in the room. Pretty rich huh? I wasn't about to get tied down by another bastard who would try to assault me or make me pay for saving me, with my body.
“Well,” I said groaning as I stood up, “I’ve got to go.” I stood up grimacing a bit from the injury.
“Ma'am please wait. You can't…” The maids pleading and my movement stopped abruptly at the sound of a cold chilling voice.
“Where do you think you're going, Geraldine?” The owner of the voice stepped into the room and my blood chilled. He was like the underworld lord, Hades. His beauty was too ethereal to behold but his cold eyes stopped me from glancing at anything except him.
“Dear goddess…” I whispered slowly as his tall figure loomed over me. “What kind of creature are you?” I breathed.
The maid seemed nervous like she wanted to warn me of something, but I rambled on.
“Look, I'm grateful you saved my life and all but—”
My words got choked as I felt his cold hands circling my throat and restricting my breathing.
“Watch your tongue around me. I am your Alpha.” His brittle voice caused my fainting heart to thump so hard, I feared I was having a heart attack. But then, after looking down at his serious expression from where I hung, I burst out laughing in his face, coughing in between.
“Yeah right,” I said finally, “if you're the Alpha, then I guess I'm Luna.” I chuckled, struggling against him as my legs dangled mid air. He smirked at me and then he let go of his hold on my neck and released his suppressed aura.
I crumpled to the floor, unable to move as his power and shock overwhelmed me.
“Al…Alpha?” I gaped. I have gotten myself into deep trouble.
I, a mere Omega, have just offended the most powerful being in this part of the world… My Alpha.
His smirk didn’t waver as he watched me struggle to believe it, his cold eyes gleaming with cruel amusement.
"You're... you're my Alpha?" I stammered, nervously licking my lips. My wolf made a whimpering sound in submission. For the first time in all my years of living, I felt the raw terror of being utterly powerless.
He crouched down to my level. His presence was suffocating as he grabbed my chin with two thick callused fingers, forcing me to meet his piercing gaze.
“Now you understand,” he said, his voice like ice scraping against stone. “You belong to me.”
“You don’t scare me,” I lied, glaring up at him even as my body trembled. “I’ve faced worse monsters than you.”
His expression darkened, and the room seemed to grow colder. He leaned in, so close I could feel the heat of his breath against my skin.
“Monsters?” he murmured, his voice a dangerous whisper. “Little wolf, you have no idea what a true monster looks like. But if you’re so eager to find out...” He released me abruptly, letting me collapse onto the floor like a broken doll. “I’ll be happy to show you.”
“I didn't know…I'm sorry.” I apologized, my voice trembling as I looked up at him. I glanced around hoping that the maid's presence would ease my fear but she was long gone.“How do you plan to make up for my saving you? I can't bother with keeping an ingrate alive.” His words sent a chill through my spine. The way he had said it calmly with a smile…like he could kill me.“Please, I don't have any money.” I stammered uncontrollably. My snarkiness was nowhere to be found. “Does it look like I need money?” He chuckled and rested his chin on his plan with a bored look in his dark irises as he observed me.I swallowed heavily.'What the hell can I offer him? He has everything!’ I thought silently, but he seemed to have read my mind as he raised a brow with disinterest. But the words that came tumbled out of his lips were anything but shocking.“Marry me.”What?????Did I hear correctly?“Marry you?" I repeated, my voice barely above a whisper, as if saying it louder might make it more re
“Où est le marié?” The butler shouted in French, running around like he was the one getting married. For one, he was not the Alpha's father. But he fretted like a hen when it came to the Alpha. Even more shocking was that he's a human. I stared at his bald head reflecting the light from the chandelier and almost burst out laughing. This was not how I imagined my marriage would be.A grand ballroom, a thousand guests, a heavily diamond dotted dress and a missing groom. It was a perfect picture of chaos. The Alpha's entrance silenced the room in an instant as they watched him in awe.The butler was practically bouncing on his heels. “Alpha, we’ve been looking everywhere! Where…”“Got the rings?” the Alpha interrupted, not acknowledging his nervousness. The butler froze, his eyes wide. “Ah, yes, of course! Right here!” He handed over the small velvet box with a trembling hand. The Alpha took the box with a practiced ease, his gaze flicking briefly toward me before turning to the offic
I barely had time to process the exchange before Amir leaned down again, his breath warm against my ear. “Get used to it. There’s a lot of venom behind all those pretty smiles.”I stiffened under his hand. “ I know. I’m not here to make friends,” I muttered, keeping my own polite smile plastered on as more guests approached.“Good,” he said simply, his voice low and detached. Minutes later, I was pacing the length of a room lavishly decorated with roses in every corner. Their sweet fragrance mixed with the faint scent of vanilla candles that flickered under the dim lighting. Hell no!I stopped mid-stride, staring at the bed as my heart raced. “Was this really going to happen? Are we going to consummate this marriage?”This was just a deal. He promised! He couldn't possibly want to mate with me…The door creaked open, and I spun around, my breath hitching as Amir stepped into the room. His presence seemed to suck the air from the space, and I was suddenly aware of how small the room
The room erupted into chaos as Geraldine crumpled to the floor. My steps quickened and I was at her side in an instant, scooping her up into my arms. Her skin was cold, her body trembling violently. “Get the doctor, now!”I barked at the nearest servant, who hurried out of the room without hesitation. I laid her down gently on the couch, clenching my jaw. Her lips were already tinged with blue. “Stay with me,” I muttered under my breath, the words more a command than a plea. I didn't want to have to go over this again—getting married and all. She was the perfect specimen. The door burst open, and Gregory, my butler, stepped inside.“Alpha, what's wrong?” he asked, his voice low and worried. “She collapsed,” I replied curtly, my focus still on her fragile form. “Poison, most likely. Wolfsbane, if I had to guess.” Gregory nodded, already in motion. “I’ll gather the staff.” “Good,” I said, my tone ice-cold. “No one leaves this house until I find out who’s responsible.” The
