If slapping her back would cause a fight, then fight

Scarlett's POV

After leaving Ryan's office, I headed for the elevator. There were others in the elevator too, so I stood at a corner, patiently waiting to reach the tenth floor where I was going.

When the elevator reached the tenth floor, only a few people remained inside. I stepped out with a heap of papers in my hands.

The corridor here was crowded with people running about. I was walking on my own when a lady suddenly bumped into me. It was unexpected, and I almost lost my balance. The papers I held went flying out of my hand and scattered all over the floor.

I turned to the lady who had bumped into me and saw her packing her littered files. Hurriedly, I began packing mine while people passing by avoided stepping on and ruining the papers. Unfortunately, some people trampled on them without any care.

As we were picking up the files, the crowd in the corridor started to thin out. The lady's papers that had dropped weren't as numerous as mine, and in no time, she was done picking her
