**Elizabeth's POV**

After a week, I was allowed to leave the crystal flower room for one hour a day, as I had promised.

Under Dylan's watchful eye, of course.

He took my hand, "Let me take you for a stroll under the sea."

I shuddered but didn't break free of his hand.

This was the first time I'd been allowed to let out, and I'd better not piss him off.

"Good girl." He was pleased with my obedience. Perhaps I was becoming more of a competent substitute.

"This sea is three times the size of the forbidden valley. It's bigger than the entire grassland. No other creature but the merman can traverse the entire sea."

Dylan tells me about the sea. I knew he wasn't doing it out of consideration; he was just warning me not to entertain some foolish notion of escape.
